I saw some stuff on it on www.returnofthelivingdead4and5.com

They don't look too bad.

4 looks... interesting, and 5 is an interesting premise, but I think these are gonna bomb so badly

I still say these two films look like entertaining cheesefest , and the gore quotient seems high , with headshots and flesh tearing in abundance , thats one of the reasons these movies exist , they haven't forgotten that . I'm looking fowarrd to both , even though 4 looks a bit better than 5 , should be a fun time in b movie zombie land , just what im looking for with a film/s such as this .

What surprises me even more than the gore factor is the makeup fx and action set pieces , you normally don't see elaborate action scenes in a film with this budget , great job by these guys and gals , this looks as if it was made by fans of cheap zombie movies from the late 70s early 80s and so far it's looking great .

Not so sure about a theatrical release though , it would have to be a limited release , and hopefully they don't cut it to get an r rating , oddly enough i want to see these in the theater , def could be some fun times .

In comparison to some low bud , stv zom films ive seen recently , these two look like they got it right , didn't skimp in any category , except maybe the acting :) .

This is officially on my must see list now .

i'm with ya dellamorte...i can't wait to check both of them out. I wouldn't mind seeing either in the theater, but I guess thats just the horror fan in me.

This sounded like one of the worst ideas in awhile when i first heard about it , but that trailer changed all that , should be the surprise horror release of the year . It has underground hit written all over it . Releasing it at the right time too , around Halloween , that's when horror films are supposed to come out .

And yes EDG , it's something you can take the whole family to see :) .

Tks. Hack. Julie was always my fav. of the three films. She's a sexay brain eatin' bitch. Gotta love her.

Was just thinking besides the obvious goods Romero will sling out , could these films be the cheap zombie movies that deliver on their promise ( in all aspects ) . I'm thinking the filmmakers took a look at this recent zombie trend and saw what was missing , so they got a little checklist going of what was deficient in them , then they slapped it all together in these two films . Yeah , it wont be as polished as a more expensive film , but damn , it looks like they spent sleepless nights stretching the low budget as far as they could .

Don;t want to get too excited , but i'm already looking past Land somewhat in anticipation of these two . That's not to say i can't wait for Land , but these look like they will be a great followup , in a cheese infested way , i love when an indie gets it right , and im hoping my second impression of R 4 and 5 is right . Could blow something fierce , who knows , doesn't look like it will though .

If Julie was real, I think that I would definetly have to overcome her zombiness and still date her. Is that weird? Maybe they can make part 6 outta that.

I'm a huge fan of the original and of zombie films in general so it's always good to see more flesh eating flicks getting made.

Does anyone know the reason that they shot these back to back? Do the stories tie directly together?

I read something a while ago bout these two movies and I pretty sure that they're connected in some way. I know Peter Coyote is in 4 but not positive if he's in 5. Anyone have the info?

He's listed for both films on Imdb .

It's cool to see someone like Coyote in these films , he was one cool ass father figure type actor in the 80's , remember him from ET ? He'll bring a nice little counterbalance to all the goofiness and cheese , nice move on the director's part .

Yeah, I've always enjoyed him as an actor. It's going to be nice to see him kick some zombie ass!

Thanks for that little bit of info on the flicks. I really enjoyed the trailers and Dellamorte was right this looks high on the gore and it looks like really good fx. Hopefully this will be as good as pts 1 and 3. 2 was kinda fun the first time I saw it but it just got too silly.

The best part of 2 was at the end when Michael Jackson was electrocuted in his Thriller outfit. Classic

yeah , too true , that was some gut busting stuff lol . And the lady's head , she was coming out with some great one liners .

back to these new Return films , the filmmakers seem to know why these films exist , and their tongue is placed firmly in gory cheek , can't wait .

Then I must be in the minority...

"Return of the Living Dead" (the original film) is pure entertainment, with drop dead funny (no pun intended) performances by Clu Gulager, James Karen and Don Calfa.

To this day ROTLD still holds up, the unfortunate sequel was just a weak popcorn run re-tread of the 1st. The 3rd time was NO charm, time to let this series R.I.P!
