To me, she will always be Jenny in Forrest Gump. She should have been nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar, I'm surprised that she wasn't at least nominated.

She was also good as Audrey Dunn in Unreakable.

Yea, her role as Jenny in FORREST GUMP will be the role she's remembered for. She should have been nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar, she probably would have lost to Dianne Wiest (who did win) because Diane kept winning everything from Robin. Robin was nominated for the Globe and SAG award though. It's just reason number 934 of why the Oscars suck so much.

Robin was great in FORREST GUMP.

I love Robin. She's just a year older than me, and I have an early claim on her: I watched her (avidly) for the four years she played the tough ingenue (trust me, she pulled off the double...) Kelly Capwell on Santa Barbara. She's always been a good actor. Her best feature role was "Lori" in The Pledge, no question. She always reaches a level of believability and verisimilitude in her work, but some other great performances worth special mention are in Unbreakable, The Crossing Guard, Moll Flanders and State of Grace.

I'm not such a big Robin Wright Penn fan, but she was excellent in Forrest Gump and The Pledge. I also want to give her credit for her performance in WHITE OLEANDER, I just wanted to KILL her character.

Yeah 'The Pledge' got so engrossed in the film that i forgot she was in it and didn't even recognise her till i saw the end credits
(of course i had been drinking!) but y'know great physical transformation
