In no particular order...

1. American Movie - awesomely funny and inspiring documentary about a struggling filmaker opposing every possible obstacle that gets in his way

2. Cannibal! The Musical - Debut student film from the creators of South Park. This cannibalistic Alferd Packer Musical just strikes a chord with me and makes me feel good. I guess it's the charismatic acting, cheap budget, and awesome tunes. Truly original.

3. The Fearless Vampire Killers - Roman Polanski vampire opus. Fearless is exactly what these two bumbling idiots aren't. The hijinks that ensue coupled with the splendid cold, icy, haunting atmosphere makes my day. It's quirky and very cool.

4. Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back (nuff said)

5. Blade Runner - somber futuristic Sc-Fi. The acting is natural and low-key. Great performances and the script is smart.

6. The Shining - It's Jack at his baddest.

7. Logan's Run - Awesome pre Star Wars SciFi flick with the great Michael York. I like his character's evolution as he figures things out about life. Maybe it's the music (which is great!) and the cheap SFX. Whatever it is, I think it's great.

8. Alien and Aliens - (nuff said)

9. This Is Spinal Tap - Just wonderful and truly original.

10. Dark Star - John Carpenter's student film about some hippies sent into outer space to destroy planets to make way for ne colonies. Complete with an alien made out of a beach ball! Very funny and great atmosphere.

11. 2001: A Space Odyssey - What a surreal experience!

12. Jaws - Just awesome

13. Evil Dead - gut-wrenching nasty deadites attack some college students in a cabin in the woods.

14. Tales From the Crypt Presents: Demon Knight - Billy Zane is truly the coolest baddass demon ever! Great sequences throughout.

15. The Exorcist - nuff said

16. Lawrence of Arabia - wow! Great music and beautiful desert setting. Epic!

These are the best movies ever made according to me (of the multitude that I've seen anyway)

There is only one movie that is deserving of this honor, and that is "The Boondock Saints" the entire film is unbelievably entertaining. Find it, rent it, watch it and you will see what I mean. But please, be kind, rewind.

I hate the phrase "nuff said" with a fiery passion, but it is fitting for these two movies in this category.

Cool choices. I really want to see "Cannibal! The Musical!"
