Favorite alien creature

Many movies feature galactic creatures, but which ones did you think were the most believable and original? Which ones were you always rooting for even as they were tearing people to pieces or incinerating them?

My choice will have to be the Predator species. This creature went against the usual design for aliens when it first made its appearance on-screen in 1987. Instead, it was made to have a similar form to humans: bi-pedal, two armed, and muscular. It has great weapons as well. Invisible camoflage, infra-red mask, and laser cannon. But what really makes me believe that the Predator is the coolest friggin' alien ever, is that it doesn't only rely on its advanced technology. To beat the entire human race and take over the planet, neither is it consumed with destroying the Earth. It is a hunter that merely searches for the best prey. Rock on Predator!!

Also, the Body Snatchers. They have no defined form, but they originate as flora that came from outer space that mixed in with the pollen from Earth flowers.

Check out the Donald Sutherland flick and I can assure you, plants may not look the same again.

Yeah, I'd go for that, but I did prefer The Blob featured in the remake, but seeing as how that was man-made, it doesn't really count as an alien. So it's the original, unstoppable (unless it snows), Blob for me.

I like both the Alien and Predator, but if I had to choose I'd give a slight edge to the Alien.

I would have to go with Predator because he is just badass.

Although as a kid I loved the little flying saucer things from "Batteries not Included". They made me cry and laugh. Then again so did E.T. so maybe E.T. is my favorite alien? But in a fight against Predator, E.T. does not stand a chance. I used to also watch Killer Clowns from Outerspace alot when I was younger. Do they count as clowns or as aliens? They might be able to take a predator if they attack in a pack. He would laugh because they are funny clowns and then they would attack him off guard. It would be a good battle.

I have actually too. Giger is a very talented guy but everyone here who thinks they are goth or seem to be "so-deep-it-hurts" (you know the type) wont shut the fuck up about how hes the best artist in the world and all this shit. Don't get me wrong, I think he has some badass stuff but when you hear people only talk about how his work is you lose interest in it.

That being said, my pick is Predator.

H.R. Giger's ALIEN design. Brilliant.

The Predator is a close second, but I have to go with the ALIEN since the hot-weather hunter is getting such a strong reception so far.

I'm gonna go with Giger's Alien. To me it's the most frightening and unique alien designs out there.
