Topher grace as Electro, Thomas haden church as The Sandman, a perfect match.....

Well most of the rumors that were going around were that of course Thomas church was going to probably play as sandman, but now more people think that he might be Mysterio, and that Topher grace might be the infamous Electro. I can't really see him being a " baddy " but im sure he can pull it off ( if he is indeed Electro ) but more people are curious were they will ever fit in black cat. Some people think that Gena Lee Nolin could get the part as Black Cat. ( i think she would make a good Black cat ) but she is kinda old.

I don't think he could be Mysterio, since the video game for SM2 had him in the game.

Actually, there's a rumor going around that Topher Grace is going to replace Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man. Hopefully that's not true, although I can see Topher fitting the role of Spidey more than he would fit any of the villains...

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hell no, if they replace tobey, spiderman will never be the same again. ( i hope he doesn't replace him ) hopefully tobey will be there for all the spidey flicks ( o god i hope ) supposedly there are gonna be six spidey films. and i hope that kirstin and tobey will be there for all of them.

For the sake of continuity, I hope the cast and crew of the first two S-M films stay on for all six films, if that's the definitive amount they are making. Had Topher Grace been cast as Peter Parker from the get-go, he would've suited the role better, but as it stands, I'd rather not see him replace Tobey Maguire after two films. Now, if they made nine films, I'd all for a change of cast and crew after every three films, to portray different tones and themes for different story arcs.

I know for a fact that Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco (Harry Osbourne) and Rosemary Harris (Aunt May) are all signed on for three films.

Beyond that is anyone's guess.

Topher Grace as Shocker and Thomas Hayden Church as Chameleon are the two main bad guys. I think they are trying to avoid the 'Schumacher effect' of lumping too many characters into one film. I don't know that there will be a Black Cat at all. Rumor has it that Chameleon will be providing the friction between Peter and Mary-Jane in this film. Given his ability to assume other's identity...this seems like a good plot twist.

I kind of like the idea of Topher as Electro and Haden Church as the Sandman. I'd love to see Haden Church as Venom, but in that case he'd need to be the movie's solo villain -- maybe add the Black Cat as an "in-between" character, but that's it.
