I'll be buying that. I have the laser disc special edition (Signature Collection) from 1998. I was going to get it on DVD, glad I waited. I'm guessing, double sided since it doesn't say two disc set. Grand, I hate those.

Bout damn time, I've been waiting for that. I really do hope its not dual sided, that angers me greatly.

Universal has revealed final details for The Blues Brothers: 25th Anniversary Edition. Due on August 30th, special features will include "Stories Behind the Making of Blues Brothers" new documentary, an introduction to the film by Dan Aykroyd, "Going Rounds: A Day on the Blues Brothers' Tour" all-access pass to a Blues Brothers' concert at the House of Blues in San Diego and "Transposing the Music" highlighting the many spinoffs inspired by the film, including tributes, merchandise, stage shows and impersonators. The film itself will be presented in both the original theatrical and extended cuts on a single DVD-18, along with Dolby Digital 2.0 and 5.1 tracks respectively. Retail is $22.98.

It's 2.3 miles to my nearest Best Buy, I've got half of a tank of gas, no cigarettes, it's quite bright outside, and I lost my sunglasses.

I just became VERY happy I didn't get this on DVD already. I'll be getting this for sure. :D

I've got the double feature DVD set (both movies) and that is good enough for me. I'm a massive Blues Brothers fan and I wasn't expecting the extended version that features on the DVD, I was shocked when thje new scenes popped up (there are alot). If this DVD comes out on region 2 then I'll have a look at it but I need to get the Best of the Blues Brothers DVD before this. Nice release though.
