Simpsons Season 6 Artwork

The cover art for Simpsons Season 6 has been released and I think its pretty cool

It seems like they're going to go with different designs for each set of 5 boxsets. The only problem I have with this is that it won't fit in with my other 5 seasons on my dvd shelf, but I still think it's a cool idea.

i like the little switch, and if they release the rest of the seasons in cases like this it could be very cool. Either way i'm buying this.

I don't know, it seems sort of kidish. I'll still buy them for sure but I wish they would just stick to the original.

I like it..it's ok. Doesn't matter, I'm picking it up no matter what. Season 6 was one of the best seasons ever.

Damn...I wish they wouldnt change the box design midway through releasing the seasons....I'd much rather have everything be similar...makes it look so much better on the shelf

this is gonna throw my whole Simpson section of my dvd collection, out of whack. 5 normal box sets and 1 awkwardly shapped Homer head.....goddamnit.

well... the first 5 seasons were released like they were... and the next 5 seasons will be released as a different family members head (that is what TVshowsOnDVD is reporting), and then the 5 after that will have a new design, and the final 5 (cuz im sure they will go through 20 seasons and that will be it) will be a dif design... im for it... and against it at the same time... on the 1 side... i want to have a Simpsons Collection that is nice and looks the same throughout, only the Season Numbers changing, on the other hand.... i am really digging these Head case designs!

I agree with you destruction... I wish they didnt change the box design midway through the series. Its going to look pretty trashy, not to mention out of place. I'm still going to buy it because I love the simpsons but the artwork just doesnt fit.

I like it actually, I was wondering what they were going to do once they ran out of colors, but I guess they did this before they ran out of colors. Its not the best case ever, but its not the worst, but yeah i understand the awkwardness of it. Oh well...I'll still buy it.

There ARE more than five colours on Earth by the way, and even more than 20 should i come to it.

This head idea is absolutely ridiculous. From what I can tell there'll be no 'spine' as such so it won't stand on a shelf with the rest of the boxes without you having to turn it round, facing outwards.

Absolutely ridiculous.

That packaging looks awfull. It's just cheap vaccum-modeled plastic, just look at the sides of the damn thing. Hopefully this is just an outerpackage like the Shrek 2 "waxy ear" packaging. Personally I would have liked to see packaging like the other seasons but I had often wondered where they would go after the last one. I'll be getting this set the day of release but I'm getting tired of novelty packaging, they say it will fit on our shelves but it will make the collection look messy with the ugly sides of this thing poking out. What will we do if they use a Marge head?

Just a thought, as much as I dislike the way they're taking the boxsets. Maybe they should have the normal boxset inside the Homer head so as not to interrupt the continuity of the sets, and the Homer head can function as some collector thing.

Fuck, this will ruin everything in the shelf. You have five evenly placed DVD sets side-by-side and then you have this huge yellow round bump peaking up above them. They should've just continued the style they were going on, I really like those.

From what I heard, you are correct.

HEAR THAT EVERYONE? THE BOXSET IS IN THE HEAD!

I'm not 100% positive about this, but apparently, they head casing is just an extra for fun. The actual boxset inside matches all other seasons, which I personally am very happy about.

So, no need to fret. If you don't like the plastic head, throw it out.
