Godzilla Ultimate Set

Does anyone have a link to where I can purchase the Complete Godzilla/Ultimate Set or w/e (the Japanese one with all the movies)? I was looking on ebay, and I can't find it.

Yeah, but I was looking for somewhere where I could import it or buy a used copy or something. Ebay didn't have it. And it's called Godzilla Final Box I think...

Yeah. I wish that for more casual buyers they'd release a set with just the movies and not the giant head. I wouldn't mind the head, but it would bring the price down quite a bit... Especially since there's no english subtitles, so I'll have to keep my current versions if I want to know what the hell's going on.

I seriously doubt it would happen anytime in the forseeable future... Sony's usually got there thumbs up their asses about every foreign film, but the artsy fartsy stuff... We probly couldn't get something like this at least until about the time they started the Godzilla franchise up again after his retirement ended. And then it wouldn't be anything near as elaborate... In the meantime since I cannot justify paying 750 - 1000 bucks for a rubber head that I don't want and no subtitles at all. I guess I'll pick up all the good Region 1 DVDs and get the rest of the subtitled/bootlegged ones. Damn Toho, can't they realize there are tons of Godzilla fans over here too? When the hell are we going to see that short-lived Godzilla live-action TV show over here? Ever?

On another note, I just finished watching the unsubtitled Thai DVD of Godzilla Final Wars, and damn is it good, even if I couldn't understand what they were saying (the basic plot summary from Moriarity's AICN review is enough to get you through). If you can't import it, try and find it on a torrent site or ebay, trust me it's worth it. Or if you're not a total Godzilla fanatic, you can wait until Sony releases sometime between August and Christmas 2007 :p

Sony Home Entertainment officially got it last week so there's a possibility of it coming out on DVD later this year. And last night, I was at the Chicago premiere and it was subtitled! I was glad to be there. Nothing more satisfying than seeing the American G get his sorry ass handed to him by the real thing. I'll probably post a review of it later in the Horror Review forum.
