I dont understand how does a man with two credicts under his belt that majorly sucked and hardly amde any movie get a 60 million dollar budget. If Bool can be a director with a huge budget then all the schmoes on t he board have a right to be a director with a huge budget. Very confusing

From JoBlo....
Alright, let's do this like taking off a Band-Aid. Real quick and hopefully it won't hurt so bad. Jason Statham, Leelee Sobieski, Ron Perlman, John Rhys-Davies, Matthew Lillard, Kristanna Loken and Burt Reynolds have signed on to star in Uwe Boll's next film DUNGEON SIEGE. If that's not shocking and disheartening enough, listen to this - he's got a $60 million budget. Statham will play the film's hero, Farmer, while Sobieski will star as Muriella, daughter of the court sorceror Merrick (Rhys-Davies). The rest of the cast shapes up like this: Ron Perlman as Norick, Farmer's friend; Matthew Lillard as Duke Fallow; Burt Reynolds as King Konreid; and Kristanna Loken as Elora, an enchanted tree-like creature whose support proves critical to Farmer. I wonder what Reynolds, who notoriously bad-mouthed BOOGIE NIGHTS before it came out, will have to say about this gem. Unfortunately it's too late to stop this as filming will begin in just two days in Vancouver. Boll's latest film, BLOODRAYNE, starring Loken in the title role, is set for release later this year.
***********
Every film he gets a better cast. How? And how does he keep getting financing? This should be an inspiration to aspiring filmmakers, because if he can make it, anyone can.

Boll must have sold his soul to Satan. And if he hasn't, I'd like to send him to hell so he can meet him.

Jason, it's not too late. Save us and save yourself. Throw Darth Boll over that railing, please...

Bloodrayne to be surprise hit of the year, and catapulting Boll to stardom? No, probably not... This movie sucking worse than the name suggests, I'm optimisitc... Boll casting Robert De Niro for his follow of to "Dungeon Siege," I'd bet on it.

...how does this fucktard get a 60 million dollar budget?
Its not like its a secret that he sucks, and the game hes basing his movie on is pretty damn unknown.
Ah well, any studio that gives Boll that much money DESERVES to lose it.:p

Forget the budget! The real question is why good actors like Jason Stathom and Leelee Sobieski and Burt Reynolds and Ron Pearlman would work with him!

...good point.
..........
.....
.....and i got nothing.
I can see a studio being retarded with its money, but why do all these good actors flush thier careers away with this guy?

Hmm. I don't know about you all, but I think Uwe Boll is on his way to winning Best Director and Best Picture. He's churning out one video game film adaptation after another, and to be quite honest, they seem to sound better and better, with better and better casts. This man is on a roll! Go, Boll, go, and don't ever stop!

Well, Boll is going to keep making video game adaptations for years to come so we better brace ourselves. The guy isn't going to stop anytime soon.
Uwe Boll is a walking scam. He has no real passion for filmmaking or video games, and he quickly bought up the rights to as many video games as he could before anyone really seen the scope of his work. The budget for all of his films comes solely from Germany. There is a Tax loophole in Germany (http://theelites.com/articles/a-smoore-tax.htm#3) that Boll exploits which actually causes him and his investors to turn a profit for creating failures. Boll raises as much money as possible for a budget, then blows it as fast as possible (getting high paid actors is a great way to blow a huge chuck of your budget), and quickly spits out another impossibly shitty film which stands no chance whatsoever at the box office. Boll purposely makes shockingly bad movies, and then riles up the internet with his retarded letters claiming his films are genius and that people on the net are idiots, so that his flicks will fail at the box office. What we think is a failure is actually a huge success for Boll.
Though Boll might not be able to exploit these taxes for much longer: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr/international/brief_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000967692
If these tax changes happen then Boll will surely disappear.

Finally, someone who is educated on why Boll keeps making movies.
All his movies are funded by the production company he owns.

It's not just this movie though. His next movie before this has friggin' Michael Madsen and Ben FREAKING Kingsley! What does he do to get these people? Does he have something on them and blackmails them to be in his movies?!

Michael Madsen has done some previous cheesy flicks, and Kingsley...well that shocked me too.

Boll has blackmailed yet another great actor to join his movie. Ray Liotta has joined the cast. And it is said that this movie will run for an interminable 3 hours in length. Ugh!

With 60 million we could get 60 quality films out. Makes you think doesnt it?
