So what does everybody think about this prequel? Personally, I've always wanted to see how Carlito Brigante rose to power, but I'm not sure Jay Hernandez can pull of it off. What's everybody's opinion on this?

Personally, I never was a huge fan of Carlito's Way...so I already don't need a prequel. And I don't think they are gonna pull it off real well, so, I'm not too pumped for this one at all.

so I saw the preview before WOTW, and I just find this laughable, this looks stupid. I don't know if it's just me - but that's how I feel about it. It is sooooo unnecessary

I dunno, man. I love me some Carlito's Way but a prequel starring P. Diddy? Could be good, could be Never Die Alone 2.

i like Carlitos Way but a sequel just sounds stupid, and from the look of the cast it will be

I think the fact that P.Diddy is the move is a huge enough hint that this movie is going to suck.

I'll give it a look....I was big fan of the last one so I'll try to make it to this one.

I really liked Carlito's Way. It's a classic of sorts, IMHO. Nevertheless, a prequel- not the best idea I don't think. Who knows though - miracles can happen!

Carlito's Way is a brilliant movie, and whoever thought up a sequel starring Jay Hernandez and P. Diddy needs a smack in the face. Now. "Here comes da pain!"

If any single thing made Carlito's Way great it was Al Pacino's awesome performance. Without him or anyone else from the original involved this is going to be the Dumb and Dumberer of gangster flicks.
