Dammit! And I haven't read S4-5.
Anyways, skimming through it, sounds funny. I'll try it the moment I finish the others.

Either way, thanks for the link, I had the others in my e-mail, this'll make it easier to read.

I like that idea. Or if your want to expand the season and have it much longer than it could ever be you could do it one every two or three days. This way the series can go on longer and you would have much more time to write future episodes with out feeling rushed.

I really want to write this "24" spinoff, but I'm starting feel in over my head. I'm not as ready to write the "24" scenes as I was with the regular scenes with the horror characters. With my school work, it's a little too much to worry about. I got the first few "24" scenes, but I still have to work out the "24" conspiracy plot, and I don't think I can get all this done by October. So...
I'll put the "24" spin on hold for a while. I can always go back later on to finish the "24" segments and re-release this Halloween special as alternate version or "producers cut" if you will. I look forward to doing that in future. Meanwhile, I'll get the ball rolling and start releasing the...

And given the long length of this HORROR TALK HALLOWEEN SPECIAL, I'll release a few scenes of it everyday, probably taking up 2 weeks. And, I'm going to release the first part right now, tonight! So, get ready for...

Update: I won't be releasing new episodes anytime soon. Instead, I'm focusing on the original episodes and beyond, and re-writing them. I am interested in having these published and if I do, I must to polish them all up first.
I know I am not a perfect writer and that some of the dialogue here and there comes off awkward. And some of my description and details too. And that is most evident in the first season when I was just an ameteur. It was only after as I wrote more and more that I got better and learned to expand my writing. So, I am starting from the beginning and correcting things here and there to improve the storyline. And in the process, there will be improvements to the storyline and some of the earilier arch-enemies. And not to mention, my FvJ episode! It sucked! I am going to figure out how to get it right this time.
As I re-work things, I'll bump up my original "Horror Talk" threads and update them with the new and improved episodes, some with major improvements, others with only minor changes. I am currently in the process of creating an alternate "pilot episode" that will start off the series, tell the characters' backstories to leave everyone and the non-initiated up-to-date in the storylines from their movies and all that. Here's to "Horror Talk"!
Oh, and Freddy, Jason, Michael and Chucky have a message for you all: "HAPPY HALLOWEEN!"
Duke Nukem
11-17-2005, 02:37 AM
Update: The new pilot episode is complete. It is a much stronger start to this series than before and will start making up for a lot of lame bits and dialogue found in the first season. I think I'll bump up the old threads for this and update the improved episodes there. So look out for the following old thread - Freddy vs. Michael (Dialogue skit) - just skip all that's there and scroll down for "Horror Talk I: The Big Four."

I'm ready with new-and-improved second episode - Horror Talk II: Poker Night - just picture Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Chucky, Pinhead and Leatherface playing Poker and that's it. If you liked that the first episode, you should like the second one as well. It introduces Pinhead and Leatherface and further strengthens the storyline. Just look for the old thread called - Horror Talk IV: Poker Night - the OFFICIAL thread.

Update: It is taking longer for me to re-write the "At The Movies" episode (where Freddy, Jason and Michael attend the premier of "Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines"), because it is turning out to be a longer episode then the first two. This is 60 pages long so far and looking like 70 when finished. It will be long, but not overlong. It is funny, action-packed and even a little suspenseful. Nothing is there that feels unnecessary. There are a lot of little things in it that strengthen the storyline. It's been two weeks since the last update, longer than I expected to the re-writing to take. Next week, it should be ready. In the meantime, Happy Holidays.

Horror Talk III: At The Movies!
This took longer to re-write, because it wound up longer. In fact, it is a whopping 80 pages! All about Freddy, Jason and Michael attending the premier of "Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines," along with a lot of surprise! It is long, but not too long. Everything in this episode is there for a reason and not unnecessary. I went over it and didn't actually feel too long to read. It was very enjoyable. If you know you horror and your Terminator stuff, I think you all will like this! Just look for the old thread - Horror Talk VI: At The Movies.

Horror Talk IV: The Best of Times!
The fourth episode is ready! And it's another long one! 91 pages! That might sound like a challenge, but it is worth every page. It is a flashback episode that covers the character's backstories and better times in the 1980's during the big horror bang of the decade. It covers of lot ground that strengthens the storyline in so many ways. Just look for the old thread called - Horror Talk VII: The Best of Times

Horror Talk V: Pinhead's Club!
I finished the fifth episode and it turned out fantastic. Much better than before. This is the episode to introduce Pinhead's night club. It is the future location of many upcoming episodes. Every sitcom has a bar location the main characters will chill at for drinks and Pinhead's club is exactly that in my series. Look for the old thread called - Horror Talk VIII: Pinhead's Club.

The sixth episode is progressing well. It's taking me more time to re-write it, because I don't want to mess it up again. But so far, it's turning out great. I have good handle on the action and I am making sure to keep it fresh and entertaining all the way.
How am I doing it in comparison to the the movie? Well, like any fight with Freddy, part of it will be set in Freddy's dreamworld. The setting will be Crystal Lake.
The difference is that the movie didn't feature the woods at all. The two only fought on the off-shore in front of the lake for the last ten minutes. Well here, you're going to see a lot of action take place in the woods, along with the off-shore as well, so I am trying to do what the movie didn't do.
The fight, dream-wise, will not be as over the top, as it was in the movie. It will be more straight-forward. Freddy will be punching Jason, Jason will kicking Freddy, Freddy will be slicing his claws at Jason, Jason will be slicing his machete at Freddy, etc. There won't be a lot of fantasy stuff here. It will be more realistic and effective.
Duke Nukem
03-15-2006, 07:01 PM
Almost done! Most of the fight is complete and I got the rest of it pretty much mapped out in my head. This is going to be great! Here's what to expect. Picture the last ten minutes of the movie where Freddy and Jason fight each other to the death on the off-shore of Crystal Lake. If you look at all that, it had to be 5 or so pages of physical fight. Now, picture that fight drawn out...to 40+ pages! That's what I've done so far and more. I've accomplished the most difficult aspect of the fight and basically have this down.

Are you talking about the entire Season 6 thread or the links to the re-written Season 1 episodes? Either way, it is meant to be a like a spoof. It's a horror-comedy series about the horror icons. It's like a sitcom. There's comedy, drama, action and also horror. And I try to develop them as characters we can relate to.
Glad you like it.
If what you read were the posted episodes on this thread, that's season 6. I have done it. It is finished. I have successfully written the ultimate Freddy vs. Jason! It is 125 pages long and it is fantastic! It is of epic proportions. It is long, but not overlong. It is all there for a reason. The fight takes up the last 85 pages and I think I've met the expectations of all the FvJ hype surrounding the first five re-written episodes. You all have no idea how of proud of myself I am. Now, I just have to go over it and I will post it soon.

Absolutely. Check out zombievictim's website where the first 5 and half seasons have been posted. You've already read what I have of season 6 so far, which kind of spoiled things from past seasons, so it doesn't matter. You know a lot past stuff already. zombievictim, you can PM your website to Bloody Knife.
Just keep in mind, that I'm changing things up along the way before I continue Season 6 again. That will be a while. Season 1 has been changed from 10 episodes to 7 and I've already re-written 6 of them. The rest will be changed and improved along the way as well. So, what's posted on zombievictim's website will be re-written. Season 1 has been drastically improved, Season 2 will have to be also, but Season 3 and up will only need smaller based changes to the story. You can read them anyway, they're okay to read, but they can be better written and I will do it in the future.

Update: The Season 1 finale isn't ready yet. I've got it started and I am working out ideas for the party in question. The originally written episode 3 years ago was like most of the other original season 1 episodes - crap. Most of the finale I look back on and sigh. But, there was some strong elements in it that worked. I will be keeping those better elements and making them even better. This should not take 2 months to re-write like the FvJ episode did.
Duke Nukem
06-12-2006, 11:24 PM
Update: I'm not ready with the finale yet. The delay is due to all the hard work that went into the FvJ episode. After all that writing and extra hours I put into that special episode, I've been really out of it the last 2 months. All of Freddy's bitching, all of Jason's brutality, all of their struggles, it left me drained. I did get the finale started, but I was unable to continue for the time being.
However, in the meantime, I have been going over what I've done withe first season so far - fixing little things here and there and setting it up for the finale. I have been brainstorming for all the right elements to properly wrap up the first season - most importantly the mystery of Ghostface.
Before, I couldn't figure out how Ghostface would know how to logically contact Freddy/Jason/Michael and harass them. I always figured that they always had Ghostfaces (jokers) playing around with them in the past - and now was a real one with an hidden agenda. But, that didn't make sense. But, it does now.
One major change regarding this is in the first episode - the pivotal scene when Ghostface first calls Michael. No longer have they had fake Ghostfaces playing around with them before. The Ghostface presented in the first season is the first to ever bother them. The way it was all said and done before was poorly executed. Now, it is better written and actually comes off a little creepy (for Freddy/Jason/Michael). Check it out. It is a much better scene. It adds to the character of Ghostface - and the final revelation that will be revealed in the finale.
If I hadn't taken my time with this, I probably would have rushed the finale and come up with a final revelation that is not as well-thought out. But, I'm feeling up to it again. Here's to the season one finale of "Horror Talk."

This episode is just about finished and I'll be ready to post it on Monday or Tuesday. The original episode, originally the fifteenth one, wasn't too bad but it definitely needed some work. Well, I've given it that work and a lot more. It is a much, much better than before and is going to be awesome.
PS: I hope you all enjoyed "Snakes on a Plane" this weekend!

I am almost finished this episode and will release it later this week. It will come around to 80-something pages. It is kind of long for a Poker episode, but it is very, very funny. I'd say it's the best episode of Season 2 so far. And not only that, it more than lives up to the first Poker episode. I was never able to say that before when I originally wrote the first two seasons 3 years ago. Now, I can.

Horror Talk XI: Poker Night II
I've finished this episode and I've went over it. It surprisingly comes out to 94 pages. It's long, but that's no reason you shouldn't enjoy it. It just means more fun. Look for the old thread called - Horror Talk XII: Poker Night II.

Update: So far, I have 25 pages of the Halloween episode. Halfway finished and progressing well.
Here's the progress on the rest of the second season. Season 2 was originally 10 episodes long and it still will be. I'm just illiminating one episode and creating a brand new one.
There was an episode entitled "Joy Ride," in which Jason was driving drunk and causing all sorts of mayhem all over New York. It was funny idea at the time, but it was badly written, and I simply don't see how I can improve on it. So, I'm not reviving that one.
Instead, I'm unexpectedly filling the gap with a brand new episode - Pinhead's Club II. Originally, I did a second night club episode in Season 3. Now, that episode will be "Pinhead's Club III," and there totally brand new night club episode I have in mind for Season 2.
The remainder of Season 2 will be the same, just re-written for the better. After "Horror Talk XII: Halloween 2003" (essentially the original episode entitled "Trick-or-treat/Halloween Night"), here's the rest of the season:
-Horror Talk XIII: Michael's Pad (originally called "One Day in Michael's Pad; will eventually come up with a new title)
-Horror Talk XIV: Pinhead's Club II
-Horror Talk XV: Live on Jerry Springer
-Horror Talk XVI: Dreamstalking
-Horror Talk XVII: Seed of Chucky
Here's to Season 2!

Update: the Halloween episode is now going at 40 pages and progressing well.
Now, here's what's up on recent developments in the storyline. Part of the reason I went back to re-write from the beginning was due to big plot holes in the storyline, especially in the mystery plots. Well, so far, I think I've done a good job of fixing all that. And there's a lot more plot holes to cover that I know exactly how to fix up now.
Now, for anyone who read the old "Halloween Night/Trick-or-Treat" episode and the other old episodes to come, the storyline will be in most respects the same. But, some elements will be changed around for the better. The mystery plots will be much, much better and even more intriguing. If you liked what I re-did with the Ghostface subplot in Season 1, wait to you see what I do in the rest of the storyline! I've thought a lot about this recently and I can't wait to re-write the rest of the mystery subplots to come!
Here's to the rest of Season 2 and more!

Update: The Halloween episode is going smoothly. 58 pages so far and still a little more to go. Compared to the original "Trick-or-Treat/Halloween Night" episode, it is miles better than before. I'm taking my time with this episode, because this one opens a lot more doors to new elements in the storyline. It will be ready before Halloween.

Update: The Halloween episode is surprisingly running at 77 pages, with still a little more to go. I've come up with juicier ideas for it than expected. I have the rest it of pat down in my mind and it should still be ready before Halloween.

I've finally finished the Halloween episode. It turned out to be 110 pages long and freaking fantastic. Consider this a Halloween special. It is kind of long and opens a lot doors in the storyline. Now, all I have to do is go over it. It will be ready sometime this week.

Look forward for more episodes in December. After writing 6 episodes non-stop since summer, I'm feeling burned out. In the meantime, I'm carefully thinking ahead on how to handle the rest of the season. The Halloween episode opened some big doors and I'm making sure to follow up on them as appropriately as possible.
You know, it's been one year since I started re-writing from the beginning and improving storyline. So far, I think I've done a good job. I've been scratching more old material than I expected and have come up with a lot of crazy and creative stuff I didn't know I had in me.
Here's what to look forward to in the second half of Season 2
-Donald Loomis on Dateline with Stone Phillips
-More of the father/son subplot with Michael and Stephen
-Jason behaving differently and drinking more since Halloween
-More on Chucky's troubled relationship with his bride...and also on The Jerry Springer Show
-Freddy finally facing off against one of his own arch-enemies for once...and in his dreamworld.
-More into the dark psych of Michael Myers
-The impending birth of Chucky's and Tiffany's "seed."
Well, here's to December to and more "Horror Talk."

Update: I don't really have much to report at the moment, other than that I'm been thinking ahead to Season 3 and how the events of Season 2 will tie in to the third season. I am starting to warm up to continuing to Season 2 again.
Meanwhile, I will report the fate of an episode I cut from Season 2 and thought I would never revamp: the "Joy Ride" episode in which Jason drove drunk and caused terrible chaos in the streets of New York. At the time, it simply didn't fit into the storyline and served no purpose (and seemed too badly written to re-write). However, it might be useful in Season 3. So, there may still be hope for that episode after all.
Another episode I planned on cutting from Season 4 might also be alternating in Season 3 as well: the "Friday The 13th" episode in which Jason plays pranks on Freddy and Michael on the F13 date of August, Friday The 13th, 2004.
Basically, Season 3 is looking to make up seven or eight episodes this time, not 5 as originally written. The time frame will also be tighter than the first two seasons. It will take place entirely in the month of August in the remainder of Summer 2004.

Christmas update: It is now late December and I've only started to warm up to continuing Season 2. I've got the opening sequence to the next episode down, and you know what, I'll share it with all of you right now! Consider it an early peak to the next episode. Also consider it a Christmas present from Freddy, Jason, Michael and the rest of the gang! Or really, just Michael!
If any of my original readers remember the old episode called "Horror Talk XVII: Big Three's Company," which I later changed its sub-title to appropriately "One Day at Michael's Pad," you know what opening sequence I'm talking about. This sequence plays on real rumors that really took place at the time and *almost* happened. It also continues a subplot I introduced earlier in this second season.
It is 18 pages long, and if you have certain frustrations over certain decisions regarding a certain franchise, you are going to eat this up. I will post it right here in this thread.

Update: I'm finally getting somewhere on my next episode and I've also finally figured out a subtitle: The Worst and Craziest of Times.
Horror Talk XIII: The Worst and Craziest of Times
Earlier in Season 1, I did an episode entitled "The Best of Times," in which Freddy, Jason and Michael reflected on the best of times from the 1980's. Now, we're finally getting the last and worst piece of that decade - 1989. At the same time, a lot of crazy stuff also takes place in the episode, including the crazy opening sequence I revealed above.
Here's hopefully soon to the next episode!

Update: I am 53 pages into this thing and it is turning out great. Every important subplot going on is continued and some of them are even resolved.
This is also officially the first brand new episode. The first thirteen episodes were based off of originally inferior episodes that I took over and re-did for the better. There was no "Pinhead's Club II" episode in Season 2. There is now.
So, I might end up creating a brand new thread for this episode and other brand new episodes I do down the road. Something like "HORROR TALK: THE LOST SEASON." Or maybe an official thread where access to all the episodes will be easier altogether. We'll see.
Here's to Pinhead and his crazy night club!

Update: This is going to be another long one. 112 pages and still some more to go. In the meantime, I will soon create the new thread for all the episodes. It will be called "HORROR TALK: THE OFFICIAL THREAD." There, I will re-post the links to the first thirteen re-written episodes. It is also there I will post the completely brand new episodes, like the current one I'm writing right now. Once that is underway, I will cease posting in this "Season 6" thread and continue updating future progress in that official one.
