LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - An outbreak of sequelitis has hit Sony Pictures.

"Hollow Man 2," "Road House 2 -- Last Call" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer 3" are in various stages of development at the studio. It has not been determined whether the projects will be released theatrically or become direct-to-DVD releases.

"Hollow Man 2" revolves around a Seattle detective and a biologist who are on the run from a dangerous invisible assassin gone rogue as well as the government forces that created him. A mid-August start date is scheduled, with Swiss director Claudio Feah at the helm. The 2000 original starred Kevin Bacon who turns invisible and goes mad.

"I Know What You Did Last Summer 3" focuses on new characters who didn't appear in the first two movies, which came out in 1997 and 1998. It revolves around four teens in a Colorado town who are menaced by an assailant a year after a Fourth of July prank turns deadly. A director is expected to be announced shortly, and a late-summer shoot in Utah is planned.

"Road House 2" centers on a graduate student who must run his uncle's bar and fight to maintain control as a local crime boss tries to take it over. Johnathon Schaech has an offer to star, and Scott Ziehl ("Cruel Intentions 3") is in negotiations to direct. An August shoot is being eyed.

actually, the Hollow Man 2 doesn't sound that bad, even though I hate sequels that have almost nothing to do with the originals. Why not just make it into it's own film entirely??

but yeah, I predict shitfests for the other two....

a Road House sequel? Sounds so cheesy and bad, but i'm going to admit it right now, I'll be renting or seeing this hahah, I just can't lie.

Swayze needs to be the Uncle of the bar though without doubt...

i'll also likely out of curiousity see the 3rd IKWYDLS...the Hollow Man sequel i'd have to debate on.

the JLH mentioning under your avatar explains YOUR anger, but I think it makes the sequel have more potential...the character she portrays was stale and boring throughout the second one, which is why I was rooting for Jennifer Esposito to live over her.

I wouldn't have minded JLH coming back to die off like Laurie Strode in the last Halloween, but then again, thats just farfetched thinking...

As much as I believe that Hollow Man doesn't deserve a sequel, that plot idea does sound pretty damn cool.

I would love to see a Roadhouse sequel BUT only if Dalton returns to kick ass and rip more throats out and only if the fat guy says "A polar bear fell on me" again!
