The story broke on bloody-disgusting and was echoed by a headline on Joblo. Following in the recent footsteps of Jessica Biel, Jordana Brewster, whose previous films include DEBS (7.5/10), The Faculty (8/10), and the Fast and the Furious (8/10, so sue me), will star as the damsel-in-distress-that-isn't-as-helpless-as-she-seems in the proposed TCM prequel. I absolutely loved the remake, and i feel like the solid teen cast (although a few didnt have to do much other than look sweaty) only propelled the slasher to a higher level. So far I don't think there's a better way Platinum Dunes could be going about this prequel. R. Lee Emery (the scary ass motherfucker who wasn't Leatherface in the remake) is back, and now this. In case anyone is unfamiliar with Ms. Brewster, there are some pics below.

The remake was terrible to me. It was an extreme bore. Where was the horror of the family in the original? This just looked like a bunch of freakshow type hillbillies. R Lee Ermey's performance was the only real good part of it.
I'll wait for a trailer, but right now I am not looking forward to this one bit.

OH YEAH!!!!! Can't wait for it! Suspecting this will get a solid cast and a little more on the edge of your seat.
I enjoyed the original and the revamped version, but found the latter to have almost too much down time. However some of the scenes as in when Leatherface hoists his victim up to hang him on a meat hook! Loved it!
One man's opinion,

not a bad pick for the lead, but i'll wait for pics/trailer etc., to make a judgement on the film itself. She won't sell my ticket right away.
The Remake was lame, everything about it...sure R. Lee Ermey was pretty good, but did it come close to the original? (The original in which mind you,i STILL find overrated?) Nope. It didn't outbeat an underrated original, which means it failed for me.
It'll take more convincing then a girl to make me get hyped/excited for a movie. I like hot chicks, but hot chicks in movies don't make great movies.
