agreed. Though i am not a HUGE fan of CGi, i do look forward to the Davey Jones character. not to mention, bringing in Japanese pirates is a brilliant idea. DMC and 3 are going to be great, i can already tell.

Are we finally going to see Davey Jones' locker that I keep hearing about?
Is that going to be the treasure?
I wanna see the booty! It must be pretty badass! :D

To be honest they could introduce Sponge Bod Square Pants in as a character and I'll still love the movie. PotC is one of my all time favourites and I'm looking forward to this like crazy. That picture looks great, I love the sea refferences in the character's look (crab claw, squid beard). PotC2 is going to be great and I'll be there first night no matter what.

I agree. The first one was pretty damn good and can't wait for the sequels to come out. The cast and all looks pretty concrete.

Don't know if you were joking, but Davey Jones' locker is pirate slang for the bottom of the ocean.
And I agree with alexia that Bill Nighy is excellent casting for that pirate's look. Great casting.

..im just glad they arent going with undead pirates again.
It works out so much better to have a new type of threat in each movie and keep them feeling fresh like a "Sinbad" type series with all sorts of insane monsters, pirates, threats, and anventures and will give each movie have a distict flavor.
Davey Jones looks amazing, and I bet it would be great on film.
And I agree on it being good that they're going with new threats with each movie, and I really hope that in the third they bring in a huge...HUGE underwater monster thingy that would look great.
Anyway, my aniticipation for this film got a boost after seeing that pic, and Bill Nighy AS Davey Jones doesn't make it any worse.

Wow, dude looks pretty badass. I had my doubts about a sequel to POTC (which I really dug, by the way) but with such a fucked-up villain, I'll check it out just to see how he looks on screen.

Yeah, but I bet the film uses some play on words, and there actually IS a locker of some sort, and I bet it plays into the film somehow. That's just a guess though. I mean, the film is called DEAD MAN'S CHEST, afterall.
