Teen star Lindsay Lohan has hit back at fans who signed an online petition entitled "Please Lindsay, Eat," insisting puberty is to blame for her dramatic weightloss.
The "Mean Girls" star is furious at claims she is starving herself and maintains her family keep a watchful eye on her fluctuating figure.

She says, "I've lost weight because I'm 19 years old and only went through puberty a year ago. I work out, eat healthily and avoid junk food.

"Trust me, my mother would kill me if I did anything stupid."

I actualy did this for awhile. I was trying to get in shape for so long and while i got results, it wasnt fast enough...so i ate much, much less then i should..and got great short term results but at the expense of all energy. (and i was already in shape, just like her!)

Its not healty and it sounds like shes in denial.

With her money, it should be damn easy to just buy a trainer and let him worry about building her back up and keeping her in great shape like she was before.


..but like i said, it saps all energy and once your off that horse its hard to get back on again. Shes sure not going to get movie roles looking like that and i expect itll wake her up abit.

That's what a growth spurt would do. But considering the circumstances, Lindsay should be as tall as Yao Ming to account that weight loss to puberty.

Clearly she hasn't gotten much taller (and she was like 5'8 last I checked, pretty tall), so I couldn't see the connection.

Just get a fucking trainer. They can afford AWESOME ones that will get them in great shape no problem, but they choose not to because its easier..just to not eat.

My gosh.
Kids, especially teenagers (especially female), are pretty . . .what, volatile, I suppose, as far as dealing with their looks. Psychologically things can spring up just like that. And it's just made worse if they're in a place where they are critiqued] by critics and fans (in another thread a schmoe mentioned that some magazines referred to her as the chubby starlet?). It can obviously create a complex.
When anything like this involves someone as young as Lohan, it bugs the hell out of me to see others throwing tomatoes at her, even more so when the throwers are adults.

When one has such a dramatic loss of weight, and continues to spew out the bullshit she's spewing out, I dont think it's quite out of line for Schmoes to voice their opinion on the matter. Denial can be very dangerous when it pertains to a persons health, especially with a girl the age of Lohan.

Lohan really needs to address this issue in a more realistic view, and if she is suffering from a disease like Anorexia, or Bulimia nervosa (which seems likely I'm afriad. I seem to remember reading in a previous thread that she actually still considers herself overweight. Despite her sudden weight loss. A sure sign if you ask me.), she needs to recognize that this is really a problem. And can easily develop into something far, far worse.

Which is something I have no desire to read about.

Now, granted, I went through puberty a little early for others, but I GAINED weight during puberty, and no girl gets a rack like THAT immediately during puberty. And if she works out than why do her arms have less definition then a noodle?

She was looking sleletal but recently she looks as if she has added weight and she looks good. she was photographed recently next to Nicole Richie and Lohan looked good and Richie is the one who looks like a skeleton.

I read that Richie's fiance used to be very overweight and I think he had that gastic bypass done. I think weight is going to be an issue with these two.

Odd, if you use a ruler tool - her arms are the same width in both pictures.

The main differences I see between the two pictures are that in the "not skinny" one, she has a tan, appears a couple inches shorter (note the heels), has her hair poofed out (not pulled back), is having her breasts augmented with some sort of push-up, and is wearing one of the "pregnancy" blouses which were the trend for a while a couple years ago.

I'm one of the few who seems to think that the gossip about her "dramatic" weight loss are a tad exaggerated.

The perception of what society sees as "beautiful", "sexy", and "acceptable" have had several female stars head in this direction. I'd like to say that Lohan's full of it (I'm trying to be serious) for making excuses for her appearance.
Someone told her that she looked a little chubby and it set her off down a dangerous road.

I don't know if her weight loss is due to dieting, or if it's affected by heavy late-night partying.

There have been many cocaine rumours, and long before the weight loss, I noted to others that she was appearing to be dressing and acting like a "coke diva".

I'd like to know exactly how much weight she's lost, because most of the pictures I've seen either look doctored or are matched up against ones of her where she is clearly shorter, and other things that make her look less skinny.

When the rumours first came out, she appeared on SNL within weeks, and looked skinnier, yes, but nothing like some of the pictures I'd seen days before. She didn't look like this in Herbie, or during any of the press for it. So if there is an extreme weight loss, there would seem to also be an extreme ability to put it back on in a matter of moments.

Maybe she's discovered shape-shifting.

I think the truth is a bit of everything, but I'm not discounting the 'puberty" thing - though it's actually just that she's gotten taller. In the past two years, she looks to have grown 3 inches, and that tends to spread weight around.

But yeah, I'm not into the waif look, and she is getting closer to that. Any day of the week I'd vote Bridget Jones Renee over Chicago Renee, and in Lohan's case, she looked better in Mean Girls then in her Nicole Ritchie daze.
