Spacey as Luthor looks alot like Gene Hackman as Luthor when he wasnt wearing that damn wig.

Probably intentional on Singer's part, since he's obviously very infatuated with Donner's Superman film. But oh well, looking forward to seeing Spacey as Lex and I'm sure he'll steal the show.

i think spacey put on a couple of pounds for this role. not to many though. his face just looks a little more full. much like gene hackman.

With a good story (still haven't heard too much about it) and Kevin Spacey at the helm, this movie could start the new franchise off right. Bottom line: could it be any worse than Superman IV: The Quest For Peace? There's not enough kitty litter in the world for that landmine.

I on the other hand (so far) am quite pleased with the costuming of Lex and Supes. They could put Spacey in a Pink tutu and he would still be the greatest villian ever.

Routh will probably make a very good superman, but I doubt he will knock Spacey of screen (he literally owns the screen).

I think Routh looked like a great Kent, but only an average Superboy, and for the life of me, coulnt figure out WHY.

...and then i realized it want him at all, but the washed out cotume they got him wearing.
