I think Batman Begins and the 1989 version of Batman are very close in a category of which is better. It's a hard decision for me, but I chose Batman Begins.

1) Batman Begins: (9/10) or A
2) Batman 89': (9/10) or A
3) Batman Returns: (7/10) or B+
4) Batman Forever: (4/10) or D+
5) Batman and Robin: (0/10) or F

I really hope someone doesn't come on here and say Batman & Robin is the best Batman film...:D

No, I don't think it's the best Batman movie.

But, it is most certainly a great film and does give the Tim Burton versions a run for their money.

Batman Returns is the best Batman movie IMO, followed by the original Batman and then Begins, all of which receive the same grade from me. I'm also one of the few people that actually enjoyed Batman Forever as well, but Batman & Robin simply suck balls.

My rankings & grades:
1. Batman Returns - A
2. Batman - A
3. Batman Begins - A
4. Batman Forever - B-
5. Batman and Robin - F

Hell yes.

As much as i loved the original Batman,Begins is the only one that seems to think focusing on BATMAN and BRUCE WAYNE in great detail is actualy important where the others seemed to use the villians/side-kicks as the stars and Bats got shoved around...even in the first one by The Joker.

It also has the best supporting cast by far, u could write a movie for most of these guys by themselves.

The dialouge was so fucking superior it wasnt funny. Falcones speech to Bruce was Aces.

Batman seems to hold his own in a fight much better in Begins. Strikes like a shadow out of a horror movie, not a slow boxer like the other Batman movies.

..It just felt more epic and real. I connected with the character far more because it showed us EXACTLY where he was coming from and why he was where he was at in life.

I think Batman and Robin was the best one of them all....oh, god, I can't even say that without feeling sick to my stomach!:p

Honestly, I do believe that Batman Begins is the best in the series. I was raised on the first two by Tim Burton, and when I found out they were making another one, I was extremely against it because, well, the other 'sequels' were just so bad. However, over time I warmed up to it, still scared, but warming up because of the choice in talent (not all the main characters were huge blockbuster stars, IE: Val Kilmer, George Clooney), and because of Christopher Nolan being behind the camera.

Batman Begins was fantastic. What was so great about it is the fact that Nolan made it all seem possible. The Dark Knight wasn't some hyped-up flying machine. No, he had gotten training, he bought his equipment and made it himself, he made a lot of mistakes at the beginning, like when he nearly didn't clear the roof jump. All-in-all, Nolan did a great job of doing a hard task: giving the comic book character justic. Bruce Wayne/Batman were not given special powers from some radioactive juice/bite/infection. He chose to do it, and trained to do what he did, and Nolan showed that perfectly.

Batman Begins is the best of the lot, although 89's Batman does come a close second.

I said yes, and that is saying alot. Batman 89' was one of my favorite movies when I was a lad. I must have seen it 50 times. But Batman Begins was fantastic. I went into it with little or no expectaions, I was spoiler free, and it blew me away. I can't wait for Nolan's second installment. I hope that Warner bros doesn't fuck it all up again.

Not only that, but I think it's the best superhero movie of all-time, bar none.
