Many of us Halloween fans consider the franchise to be in fact a trilogy, which includes the original Halloween, Halloween II and Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later.

Well, instead of waiting for a 10 discs "Special Digitally Restored Anniversary Collector's Edition" boxset in 2056, I decided to do my own boxset of the Halloween trilogy!

Now, I want your ideas and opinions on my concept/design:

* there probably won't be a slipcase or whatever it's called : the boxset is a three-discs case (like the Back to the Future) so it won't be to hard to do a cover

* the title is Halloween: The Laurie Strode Trilogy because the 3 movies focus on that character (yes, I know she's in the awful Resurrection but she dies in it, so...) The title could also be only Halloween: The Trilogy, but then, I'll have to rethink the cover.

* the cover below is only a Beta version Since my computer is too shitty to handle Photoshop, I don't want to work on a perfect final version with Paint Shop Pro. (I'll start working on this said boxset in September when I get my new computer! )

* also, if anyone has a good quality picure of Jamie Lee Curtis like the one on the cover, but in color, please send it to me!

So, if you made your own boxset or you just have a great idea, suggestions are welcome!

Nice idea. Ive always been intrigued with putting together my own, 'ultimate' box sets, but just wouldnt know how to yet. :(

very cool. I noticed that you have a Michael Myers action figure in the background. Couldn't find a good real pic or what?

Yeah, that's kinda it: I couldn't find a good pic of Michael, from the original, where we see him from head to toe.

I found some good pics from the other movies and some low-quality ones from the first, so I'll probably take his H1 head and paste it on another body standing the way I want.

That's a good idea. I love one, liked two, and not a fan of H20, but it's a great idea either way.

And, if it turns out good, I plan to do an Evil Dead Boxset and kind of a Horror Legends Showdown Boxset (yeah, I'll rethink the name!), with F13th, NoES and FvsJ.

(By the way, I know Jason isn't in the first F13th, but I just want the original movies all together.)

I've thaught about this before, I also wonderd weather it would be possible and any good to edit the first two Halloween movies together to make one huge marathon movie. Don't get me wrong I love the original on its own and am aware that putting the two together would detract from the original but I still think it would be interesting to see, what do you guys think?

I like where you're going with the cover – it's simple but effective. Just one suggestion though. You might consider finding a crisper picture of JLC and having The Shape being blurred instead of the other way around. It is the 'Laurie Strode Trilogy' after all, and it stands to reason that she should be the main focus and not her brother.

I like the your idea.
Since Halloween isn't too far away. How about buying a fake jack-o-lantern or pumpkin that you can cut a whole big enough to fit the 3 DVDs. Then make a slot on top for a knife.
Just a thought.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do, but the only picture I found of Laurie with the axe was really small, so I had to resize it and it lost resolution.

I just finished a more polished version of the cover, but it's still not the final. I tried to colorize Laurie and I sharpened her face. I also placed a real headshot of Michael on the action figure body and added a knife in his head. Plus, I added some fog in front of him. I think it turned out really good, so tell me what you think!

I really like it. I don't however like the picture of Laurie. Its too blurry and just doesn't fit. I love the fog effect you used on Michael. Much better than the other cover

To count H8 out of this "trilogy" is ignorant. It's more ignorant than how many fans feel about H4-6 being "forgotten." H8 has as much to do with the Michael/Laurie story as H1-2-7. It was the end of her story arc and her fateful demise. You can't just skip out on that.

I've been thinking about uploading both H1 & H2 onto Adobe Premiere and editing them together, but I'd need a nice and long DVD to load it onto. I'll try it anyways, making the transition between the film's as good as i can, where instead of ending the H1 portion of the film on the shots of locations as in H1, do it when Loomis looks over the balcony and see Michael missing, then start H2, when Loomis goes outside and investigates.

Cool idea but someone I get this image in my head that putting Halloween 1 & 2 in the same box with that awful H20 would be like putting tarter sauce on my pancakes. EEWWW!!!

Since there's a revival of that thread, I decided to post the final artwork, which I finished last month, just in time for October 31st!
