Has anyone heard these guys?

They're a young (oldest member=22) band from Chicago who play insanely Beatlesque songs of their own composition.

Their new album, De Nova, plays like a Beatles best-of without being annoyingly derivative or cute...they've got all the parts: bluesy ballads, straight-up rock songs with great hooks, pseudo-philosophical lyrics, political messages, and it all ends with an under two minute rave-up called "Rock & Roll".

They're not going to reinvent the wheel, but it's the funnest album you'll find this year.

Some girls at my school like them, I just assumed the band was more of the emo shit they usually listen to (no offense to emo fans, that's just what I think of it). But your description makes them sound alright, maybe I'll check them out.

Heh, yeah I definitely wouldn't call them emo...not even that many of their songs are directly about love...but I know what you're talking about, it's hard to trust a teenage girl's taste in music.
