from Drudge, from Yahoo news:

NEW YORK - Madonna's 47th birthday celebration was marred when she suffered several broken bones in a horse riding accident at her country home outside London, her publicist told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

The superstar was hospitalized with three cracked ribs, a broken collarbone and a broken hand, according to Liz Rosenberg, her spokeswoman based in New York.

The accident occurred Tuesday at Ashcombe house, her estate outside of London.

Madonna and an assistant were riding horses, when Madonna, on a new horse she wasn't accustomed to riding, took a tumble. Her children, Rocco and Lourdes, were at the home but were not with their mother at the time, Rosenberg said.

"The whole family was out in the country, celebrating her birthday," Rosenberg said.

Her husband, director Guy Ritchie, took Madonna to an undisclosed hospital, where she was treated. Rosenberg said the entertainer was expected to be released later in the evening.

Somebody should make a statue of this scene.

I'd pay money to see that.

But on the nice side, I hope she isn't too injured... just enough to take her out of the spotlight forever :)

Why is it someone like Chris Reeves falls and gets crippled while a useless whore like Madonna falls and just breaks a few bones. The world is a crappy place.

You can take the skank out of Detroit, dress her up like Victoria Barkley and stick her worthless ass up on a horse on an English country estate, but she'll still be a grasping, social climbing, nouveau riche pretentious skank from Detroit.

She is, absolutely and utterly without question, the most loathsome, untalented, vicious, shallow, cruel and, frankly, worthless person in all of show business.

A couple more of these and I'll have to start revising my view of the existence of God.

I believe that "wrath of God" thing after her snotty turn to get people off her property just because they were hiking. Add to that fact that this harlot was slut of the century before becoming a "proper English" family woman. So that adds up to hypocrisy, hostility, and an air of superiority that would make Rush Limbaugh blush. Yep...God may be trying to tell us something.

The one thing nobody seems to be asking:

Is the horse okay?

That's what you get for riding a horse you're not used to on your birthday.

Whatever that means.

This woman could spook any horse. It's no wonder she got tossed.

I totally agree.

When my grandfather died years ago, I wanted to go and kill every useless street bum who dared fucking breath air while my grandfather who contributed to society had to die.

disliking someone is one thing
wishing someone SHOULD have died.... thats COLD!

And as for the late Chris Reeves....
I believe he got trampled on by the horse that lead to his unfateful injuries. :(

I think Chris just got tossed straight forward and hit head and shoulders first. He was a big man, and that entails more risk as a rider.
