(I'm opening this thread because I just recently helped record a new song for my friends band using my Pro audio equipment, and I felt inspired to post it up here since I’m proud of it.)

Do you know any local bands and or underground bands that have talent gone unrecognized? Post up a link to their website, or a link to their music.

They really don’t have to be local bands, just non-famous bands.

Handcrafted (http://www.myspace.com/handcrafted ): There new song, SUMMER WAS COMMING, i helped record. (Though I’m not the biggest fan of their “choice” of music, they’re my friends so its still pretty neat) Universal guaranteed them a contract in the net few months or so.

SIMPLFY (http://www.myspace.com/simplfyrock): The lead singer is my brothers’ best friend; I've known about them for almost 4 years. I was actually going to be their new Bassist when he bought tickets to France unexpectedly, but he decided to not go back home.

There's this band from the SF Bay Area (where I live) called the Phenomenauts, they're great. I see them whenever I can, they put on a killer live show. Their whole band is space-themed, so they've got all these cool keyboard noises, props, etc. The music itself is basically surf, but a bit more punk than classic surf. Plus it's got the whole space theme mixed into the lyrics and sound, they describe their category as "Intergalactic Spaceabilly", or something like that. Here's the band website:http://www.phenomenauts.com/
