Eminem has been admitted to a hospital for an addiction to sleeping pills, the rapper’s record label said in a statement.
"Marshall Mathers, a.k.a. Eminem, is in the hospital under doctors' care. He's being treated for dependency on sleep medication,” Interscope Records revealed. On Tuesday, the rapper cancelled a European tour with Anger Management 3 citing exhaustion and “other medical issues.” Those other ailments were not immediately released.
The rapper’s label didn’t indicate whether where the rapper was being treated for the dependency on sleeping pills.
In a separate statement, 50 Cent said he would continue to tour Europe on a separate outing from the Anger Management franchise.

Are you suggesting that this may be a "sign" of some sort?

"Elvis was a hero to many, but he never meant shit to me!" Sorry, I always remember that Public Enemy line every time somebody mentions Elvis. :D

Either way you can bet that his next album will feature a rap song about this whole experience. It'll probably be his next radio single.

Why are you people denying sleeping pill highs?
Halcion, for starters. -- It ain't just a song by Orbital, you know.
Ambien and Sonata are also probably a bigger high than the majority of people ever feel.
And this stuff doesn't necessarily put you straight to bed.
You people need better doctors.
Good sleeping pills are neither a common, nor a "light-weight" drugs.
Eminem fits perfectly into the type youd expext to get prescribed something like that. You know -- all his demons keeping him up at night and stuff. LOL.

The difference between Eminem and Elvis Presley is that Eminem actually has talent. Elvis was a fat smelly drunk burnt out who made shitty music and deserved to die.

Yes, that and he doesn't make shitty music. If Eminem dies at least it'll be of an honorable death like a suicide or passing out in your own vomit, not sittin on the fuckin comode while peaching off a loaf.

So, you would agree that:
Eminem makes music about timeless subjects like Fred Durst, and Christina Aguilera, and will be considered one of the best musicians half a century later - rising above his current status of not selling a whole lot of his last CD.
And Elvis makes music about hot topic, current event subjects like love, and rebellion, and is nothing but a flash in the pan who people will forget about in 10 years.

I am not an Elvis fan, but I am an Eminem fan. But without Elvis, there would be NO Eminem. Elvis was a trail blazer, a visionary. I mean, somebody had to be the first white dude to steal black music. :D

It all depends on opinion and personal taste. I hate both Fred Durst and Christina Aguilera, and quite liked it when Shady ripped on them. As far as "hot topics" like love and rebellion, so many artists over the past centuries have wrote and sang about it so damn much that it gets old. Love is the subject for 99.99% of every song ever made. It's old. That and Elvis Presley was fat, and there's not many artists out there that are fat that I like, except for Peter Jackson and Biggie.

Yeah that's great and all, except not every Eminem song is about pop culture.
