is Green Day's video for Wake Me Up When September ends brillant? I mean, it shows the innocence of the relationship and then it is thrown into turmoil. I mean, it shows what the song is saying perfectly.
What Do you guys think?

It's okay. I wouldn't say it's brilliant or mind-blowing. BUT Evan Rachel Wood is the hottest illegal chick on the planet. I'd go to jail for her.

Hated the video, hated the song, and more and more I'm getting to hate Green Day. I can't go anywhere without hearing American Idiot play for movie trailers or ads (it kind of conteracts most of the stuff the song is about). The CD was medicore at best, and I wish they'd stop riding the wave of it and get to work on a new CD.

I hated the video for Wake Me Up When Sept. Ends... Awful, awful... A brilliant song, with a stupid bullshit anti-war message (which I agree with the anti-war part) but the song was written about lead singer Billie Joe's father passing away when he was young....
Great song, but by far GD's WORST music video IMO...

Don't even get me started on this shit. It's a horrible music video. I'm annoyed at Green Day for being the biggest hypocrites I have seen. They go on and on about how they don't sell out, they aren't like all the other stuff. That explains the TV ads and movie trailers playing your music all the time. That and the TV and radio playing their songs all the time. I've never hated a song just because it was played so much before until now.
Green Day can go on the camera and talk about how they keep it real and don't sell out all they want, they're just lying through their teeth.
And by the way, the music video is terrible. Evan Rachel Wood couldn't act for shit in it, the whole story of it was lame and their attempts at drama were laughable. The song isn't great either.

Shit. I liked the album better when not every fucking song was about the war in Iraq.
I liked it better when it was meant to be a fucking rock opera.

Id like the video more if MTV stopped showing about 1/3rd of a video so I could see the whole thing.
Personaly, I think Green Day put out a solid album with meaning behind it and the joke is on them MTV sorts and radio suits who get off on the catchy hooks but fail too understand the meaning behind it.
Ive always been a casual Green Day fan...radio friendly punk rock.
