View Full Version : Guilty Pleasure Songs

Everyone's got 'em, so I was wondering what are some of yours. These are songs that you like, but you don't want anyone to know you like. This can be kind of like the Horror Movie Confessions thread, where you say stuff you were too embarrassed or afraid to say anywhere else. Here are some of mine:
"I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" - Meatloaf
Anything by Pat Benetar
"Anyway You Want It" - Journey
"Don't Stop Believing" - Journey
"Final Countdown" - Europe (I think the keyboard part is catchy, okay!)
Any Poison Song
Those are all I can think of right now. I'm so ashamed! Now, I've gotta go listen to a Megadeth song to regain my manhood. Go on and post some of yours, you know you want to.
Rock On!!

I don't like the term 'guilty pleasure', because I don't feel guilty about liking them, but here are a few irregular tracks, obviously low on the artistry level, but by their pure catchiness and fun-ness transcend its position as low one-hit wonder pop songs.
Joey Scarbury - Believe It or Not
Recently put to good use in a montage (is there any other way to use it?) in "The 40 Year-Old Virgin".
Charlie Dore - Pilot of the Airwaves
C.W. McCall - Convoy
Chords - Sh-Boom
Cheers - Black Denim Trousers
Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen (in my top 15 songs)
Nena - 99 Luftballoons (in my top 15 songs)
Stan Bush - Fight to Survive, Never Surrender, Dare, The Touch (Dirk Diggler covered it in Boogie Nights)

I Want You to Want Me - Cheap Trick
Turning Japanese - The Vapors
