I say let them secede. If it means that the fundamentalists have less power here and have their own "godly" state to enforce religion on the Constitution of, fine by me. Less here, more there.

What does South Carolina do of any good anyway? ;)

It doesn't seem to work out so well when they do it in the MIddle East or in Africa, so I say it's a bad idea.

You know, there is actually a small island out in key west that is a seceded part of the US? I believe its an honest to goodness soveriegn country. I wish i could remember the name.

This guy misses the whole point of Christianity. I think he will be happy but I doubt his followers will be. It sounds like he's creating a society that is founded in legalism- a term/behavior that most Christians find distasteful.

I can't remember it either, and a net search didn't help.

Did want to mention though - being in Key West feels like being in a sovergn nation.

Geez - I give it 5 years before I'm working on the Florida board of Tourism.

Alberta has enough oil to supply all of North America by itself for 50 years. I think we can do without poutine and seperatist kickbacks.
