not sure how popular they are. My friend fucking LOVES them, so i bought their cd a long time ago.. and to be honest, ,i thought it was eh, ok... didnt really give it a fair chance. Then me and this friend went to Florida (to get an apartment) and they were playing in florida... so we went to the show... and fucking, it was one of the best concerts i have been to (sans Metallica, cuz they are the greatest)... then when we got back in MD they were playing at a club in MD.. so we caught that show, and still.. fucking amazing!

They have a new cd coming out on tuesday called ALASKA... and i have heard a few of the songs played live.. and they are fuckin amazing!

This band really interests me. I haven't heard much. Hell, all I heard was one song from Alaska. I think it was Selkies: The Endless Obsession and it really suprised me how they switch from brutal death metal shit to some post-punk sounding stuff.

So I bit and I downloaded it. It's really really good. They remind me of like the metalcore version of Opeth or something with the constant variation changes and the constant switches from clean vocals to death growls.

I've only heard one song off of The Silent Circus. I'll have to sample the new record. They definitely send off an Opeth vibe. Opeth do it better, but these guys are extremely talented.
