If you've been to an AMC theater in the past three years or so, then you've seen their "fake trailers."
Basically its a clip that looks like a real trailer, but then the movie gets interupted by a ringing phone (that sounds like it really is coming from the theater - great sound mixing) and everyone on screen stops and say "It's coming from the audience." Usually the interupting ring causes much chaos in the movie.
I just saw the newest one tonight and it was pretty damn funny. This one looks like an animated movie about eagles. It has all the hallmarks of a typical Disney adventure film, even down to the annoying sidekick characters. Then as the hero is falling to certain doom in the mouth of a volcano(!), the ringing stops everything and he' all pissed an goes "AWE, come on, is that a cell phone!?" Then chaos ensues as normal.
Fucking hilarious.
Though not as good as the completely believable Cheerleader version a while ago, which I was totally fooled by, but this one is up there. Way better than the Crouching Tiger/Hero knock off they had been showing.
