So when making plans for the Saints' home opener, since the Superdome is kinda, you know, out of the question and all, the NFL wanted the Saints' home opener and potential home games as close to the city as possible. Most likely LSU, maybe San Antonio, even the Texan's stadium in Houstin (that would be interesting).

So I'm like, yeah, that makes sense. Then the announcement: The Saints will host their home opener in... fucking New Jersey? They play the Giants (or is it Jets, I don't remember/care), so instead of playing in six feet of water, they will play a "home" game in the opposing team's stadium, 3000 miles away from they're actuall home.

Badbird to NFL: WTF?

And then it wasn't until this whole storm thing that I realized that before last year, New Orleans didn't have a baseball team, a hockey team, or a basketball team. And the Saints are barely even a football team.

Seems odd for a major city to be missing so many sports leagues.

That's why I said "before last year."
