Coq Roq is the band from those Burger King Chicken Fries commercials. They actually have a website:

Their songs are pretty good (all 4 of them), although the lyrics are sometimes a blatant advertisment for chicken fries.


Also, they should sell t-shirts. I just think that'd be funny.

I think that it's one of the most asinine marketing ploys in the past decade. They also have a hip-hop equivalent to Coq Roq, though their name escapes me. You've got to appeal to colored folks, y'know.

What's even dumber is the fact that Slipknot has sued Burger King over this shit. They claim that Coq Roq is lifting their image. Clown, one of Slipknot's percussionists, even suggested that their fans should boycott Burger King. This whole thing is just fucking ridiculous. Besides that, chicken fries AREN'T GOOD. You know what they taste like? Chicken tenders. Order chicken tenders at any fast food joint, and you've got yourself some "chicken fries."

Fuck Burger King, fuck Slipknot, and fuck chicken fries. And fuck the metallic aftertaste that most fountain sodas have.

I don't plan on listening to the band, and I don't really plan on eating the chicken fries because I don't go to Burger King. I just thought the commercial was funny. :D
