Being from New York I think about September 11th almost everyday. This is to honor those who died, and those who risked their lives to save others on the horrible day of September 11th 2001.

God bless those who are no longer with us. They will never be forgotten.

I visited New York City in May on a school trip. We stopped by Ground Zero during the tour. It was a very eerie and humbling experience. To be surrounded by nothing but urban jungle and then wham! a huge open pit in the middle of the city.

I was in a class the other day and one of the students passed around pictures from an old magazine about 9-11 and the feelings they evoked were so powerful even after all these years. I love the picture you posted. I loved the unity that our country had right after the day. I'll never forget those days as long as I live.

God Bless the people of New York, Washington DC, and those loved ones lost in those four tragic flights. May America continue to share the unity we saw in the shadow of tragedy.
