i LOVE 8mm.... just didnt ever expect a sequal to it. AND the studio must not have faith in it, i mean it stars Nicolas Cage and is going STV!

Wow, it is a sad day for Hollywood when they have to release sequels straight to video.

here is the post from DAVISdvd.com

Sony Pictures has announced the straight-to-DVD 8MM 2. This sequel to the Nicolas Cage original stars Johnathon Schaech and Bruce Davison, with Joe Cardone taking over helm from Joel Schumacher. The disc will be available on November 22nd in separate R-rated and Unrated editions, each with anamorphic transfers and Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. Extras are TBA. Retail is $24.94, or $32.95 for a two-pack with the original film

SOOOO maybe it doesnt star Nicolas Cage... i think i may have misread what the other site said, cuz it said "A direct to video sequal to 8mm, Starring Nicolas Cage" i guess they were talkin about 8mm and not 8mm 2! my mistake!

I would've rented it if Cage did make a cameo...only to get killed during the first ten minutes. Oh, wait, that's Scream, wrong genre.

what 8MM needs is a damn uncut release, not a fecking sequel that will most likely suck
