Details:

Universal has announced rated and unrated editions of George A. Romero's Land of the Dead which stars the likes of Simon Baker, John Leguizamo, Dennis Hopper and Asia Argento. Both discs will be available to own from the 18th October this year, and should retail at around $19.99 a piece. That DVD artwork is surprisingly wicked and eerie, much better than the theatrical poster.

got this in the post today and while i found the picture to be disappointing at times, its great...not only is the film better on a second viewing, the added gore is wonderful and tops that of Day

while i havent yet listened to the commentary, the documentary extras although only 9-12 minutes long each were all interesting and have some funny moments

definitely worth getting

I just hope we Brits get the uncut edition aswell. We've had a rough deal on the other 3 movies with no real worthy releases (apart from Dawn which got a decent but underminded edition). I just hope they don't do what they did in the states and bring out the uncut edition months after the first DVD release. I've bought 2 copys of Night of the Living Dead already, I don't want to do the same for Land. As for the DVD release date, it's too soon for that as it's only been in the cinemas for a couple of weeks now.

I really like it, although the zombie on the far left is kinda annoying. WTF is she looking at??? I like the Simon Pegg on the cover and the special features look great.

Although the film could have been much better I will have to pick up this DVD on release day. Problems with the movie aside, it is still a "Romero Dead Film". I am very hopeful that the movie will get better on repeated viewings. At least the gore was very good.

I just seen a commercial on this and apparently the zombie looking straight up has been edited out.

They should make another film, world of the dead would be nice although make it like the dawn of the dead re-make cause im going out on a limb here and say that was the best yet(sorry folks), Was it romero who did the dawn remake cause for the life of me I cant remember?

Anyway get world of the dead going, but for god sake make it better than land!!
