Highlights of Austin City Limits:

-finally seeing Built To Spill live

-The Fiery Furnaces

-seeing Bloc Party playing to 20,000 people

-Rilo Kiley

-The Arcade Fire's cover of Five Years

-The Decemberists playing to 10,000 people and Colin Meloy working the crowd better than any other band

-Wilco playing Jesus, etc. and I'm Always In Love

Overall ACL was worth all the money, sweat, and dirt. Sunday was the hottest day of the year and the hottest Sep. 25th in Austin history. I heard that it got up to 108. I've never been so hot and sweaty and dirty in my life, but I would do it again. Next year they need to get Tom Waits though.

Yeah thats a treat isn't it :). Doug maurtch is just one of the most talented musicians around. His live shows sound pretty much perfect.

I'm glad you had fun. That line up had me in awe.

We only stayed for three songs. I saw Politik, Yellow, and Square One. By they time they started it was so fucking dusty we couldn't stand it anymore. You couldn't see more than twenty feet in front of you, and I had to wear a bandana over my face so I could breath. I was still coughing for two days after.

Yes, this year was a absolutely great lineup. This was the fourth year of the festival, and I think last years might have been the best so far. The Pixies, Ryan Adams, Elvis Costello, Wilco, Old 97's, Cat Power, Modest Mouse, Spoon, Patty Griffin, Sloan, Rosanna Cash, Neko Case, and Broken Social Scene to name a few.
