Why allow the population to legally grow a plant that they can use for ailments, when a company can mass manufacture it for profit, then make donations to politicians.

Nah - that's just a conspiracy theory.

Of course, they keep pot illegal because people will smoke it. Marinol is a pill. So there is no side-effects, like with smoking.

So spot on true it's scary. That's why even though pro-medicinal marijuana legislation has won in popular elections in both California and in Arizona that it gets smacked down by the judicial branch every single time. Now excuse me while I go smoke a blunt.

I was talking to someone about this today, asking, "How could people not know this and not be somewhat bothered by the obvious manipulation of the pharmacutical companies?"

They just said, "Because no one knows what the fuck Marinol is. They probably stop listening as soon as you say that."
