I'm thinking about it. It seems awesome but I own the '99 collector's editions and this week I want to buy the wallace and gromit collection, battlestar galactica : S1, and Desperate Housewives: S1 so that is alot and I don't know if Mallrats is worth it.

EDIT: Does someone who has both editions or any ediiton at all think I need to get this if I have every single other Kevin Smith dvd?
I mean I even have jersey girl. But still, too much stuff out this week, it needs to be somethin great for me to pick up; like Clerks X.
This set on the other hand looks less than terrific.

I think i'm gonna get this. Don't ask me why, but when I seen it in the flier on sunday I didn't seem too interested, but than i remembered that a long time ago I used to go to the store looking for this, but I couldn't find it, than I realized it was because of the SE.

I just watched the extended cut and loved it!!! Its the best cut of the film i think!!!!

i heard kevin smith say on the intro to the extended version theres more footage not shown in these versions like a half an hour and will put them back in for the 12 anniversary edition!!! if this is true?

I saw that in the store today. It's kinda funny that this new one is cheaper than the original DVD back in the day. But I own the original one, and I don't see the point in rebuying this. I rebought Clerks for the tenth anniversary, but it was three fucking discs, awesome!

This one just doesn't have enough stuff for me to want to buy it again. Maybe I can watch it at a friend's house...

Exactly what happened to me today.
I was at best buy and I just said screw it and bought Wallace and Gromit instead.

Still on my buy list:

BSG S1
Desperate Housewives S1

Yeah, I picked up Mallrats as well.

Along with Desperate Housewives: S1..

I've lost patience with the the 2 local Super Wal-Marts here. I just went to Target instead.

Quick question for those who picked this up.

Did Rogue release this DVD with a cardboard slipcover like they did for Assault on Precinct 13? Or is it without a slipcover?

Thanks guys!

Another edition!? Jeez, I've already done the double dip thing with this movie, I originally bought the basic movie which I gave to my sister in law so I could get the 'special edition'. Not wanting to spend even more money on this movie, I'll stick with what I've got.

I've never seen this but I heard it's really good. I really liked CHASING AMY, CLERKS and JAY AND SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK. I'm sure I'll like this.

It's a major disappointment. They could of at least made it a 2 disk instead of a flipper. The extended edition makes for a boring cut of an already so-so movie. The commentary is the same as the first DVD, but without the video insert. What a waste.

ok 1st off did you watch the kevin smith introduction he said that the extended cut is horrible and it never should have been, and as for the 12th anniversary thing, it was a joke from this same introduction
