I wanna know when they are gonna do the box set for the new trilogy....it's bad enough that I am gonna have to double dip on episodes 1 and 2, I need this set...however, I do like the original art on the new box set for the OT, I am not gonna spend another 65 fucking dollars on something I already have, fuck that.

Everyone and their dog owns the Star Wars Trilogy boxset so I don't think many people will be getting this one. It's a blatent cash in to coinside with the final movie and Clone Wars DVD. Infact, people who aready have the original box set and who buy this watered down set should get a slap in the face from the person selling it to them, if they want to be Lucas' bitch they can be everyone else's too.

All I need is Episode III (out Nov. 1 :D) and I'll have all six. I already got the box set for the original trilogy (including the 4th disc) and I'm happy with it. Don't need any more.

This just seems like a ploy to try to get more money out of the consumer - just in time for Christmas too.

Double Dipping again! Forget it! I already have the original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD with the 4 disc and I'm not going to buy this one again. Personally, I'm fed up with all these double dipping too. I mean come on why don't they just have both dvd's releasing on the same day ? To answer my own question is because I know they want to make more money. But at least give people an option like Lord Of The Rings, Sin City and a few others where they tell you that there will be a SE edition coming soon. Anyhow, that's what I feel and I believe I speak for many who feel the same way too.

I Agree with all of you, I will not buy this again, I just bought it last year.

I hated the individual covers of the last release...those collages were just bad.

I wonder if the original artwork, as shown on the website for the slipcover, wil be on each cover of each individual movie.

Those are the covers I wanted to begin with... but whatever.

No way I will be buying this, considering I will be buying the ULTIMATE set of all 6 with extra extras when that is released.

my first post but I've used the site when I was with aol, hello. If it were the original star wars films and NOT the special editions then I might consider buying it for myself but the current editions aren't heavily editted and I still watch them so it's money I can use for other movies.

I can't wait until a few years from now when we'll get the original trilogy in the original cut. But first, as a box set... then, as a TRILOGY box set with an extra or two... then, .... anyways.

So basically this is a new trilogy box set without the fourth bonus disc with all the special features, but new cover art for the dvd cases... yeah, right, whatever Lucas. If, like another schmoe said, it contained both the special editions and the original cuts... then still NO dammit. Just hurry up with the 12 disc super-dooper-winnie-cooper-deluxe-collector's edition box set already.

This set is OBVIOUSLY not made for either the Star Wars fans or the DVD collectors, it's coming out for the kids who have never seen Star Wars before and might want it as a present for Christmas, these kids won't give a fuck how they made the movies so they don't need the 4th disc...

I'm just going to buy Revenge Of The Sith and be happy. There are sooo many movies I can double dip on because for some reason years later they decide to create a special edition cough*Gladiator*cough. And this shit is driving me crazy!!
