I first learned about Metropolis through Adult Swim. It aired about 5 or 6 months ago--I'm not really sure-- and after watching some of it on AS, I went out and rented the DVD.
I really enjoyed the anime. The dialogue, though corny at times, has it's moments and really shines during the ending. All in all, I'd give this flick a 7.5/10; it has it's downfalls-- bad plot flow, and sometimes it gets dry, but I'd say it's a pretty heartwarming and memorable anime.
