I am not really all that big onto Anime, but I watch it sometimes.

The only ones that I have seen are Grave Of Fireflies and I want some recommendations based on that?

In the vein of "Grave of the Fireflies"? I really can't say.

But you should check out the holy trinity of series, "Full Metal Alchemist", "Wolf's Rain" and "Neon Genesis Evangelion".

As for movies, most of the ones Tag' mentioned are fantastic.

"Hellsing" (not as much as the manga but gory enough), "Boogiepop Phantom", "Full Metal Alchemist" (the Japanese uncut is) . . . and that's all I got.

For movies, well, "Perfect Blue" is insane.

Full Metal Alchemist
Ruroni Kenshin
Samurai Champloo

The uncut versions are pretty graphic.
