Not just movies that tell a story about a child, but actually use that child's point of view as a character which gives the film a different feel to it.
1. E.T. The Extra Terrestrial *****
2. The 400 Blows *****
3. My Life as a Dog *****
4. The Christmas Story *****
5. The Spirit of the Beehive **** ½
6. Stand By Me ****1/2
7. Au Revoir, Les Enfants ****1/2
8. The Secret of Roan Inish ****
9. Empire of the Sun ****
10. Corrina Corrina ****
Has anyone seen Rolf de Heer's The Quiet Room from 1996?

Definitely E.T. and EMPIRE OF THE SUN. Steven Spielberg probably is at his best when he works with kids.

A CHRISTMAS STORY tops my list. There's no other film I've seen that even matches its warm, fuzzy quality, of life as seen through the eyes of a little kid. Not even E.T. beats it, my friends, though it does come close. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

In addition to those already mentioned, I have to add Boaz Yakin's 1994 debut Fresh. Probably behind only The 400 Blows as my favorite film from a child's perspective, the film is an incredible glimpse into the life of a 12 year old drug runner, played wonderfully (actually, the best child performance I've ever seen) by Sean Nelson. It also features Samuel L. Jackson and Giancarlo Esposito, definetly worth a look, and a tops of the pops in kids P-O-V flicks.

In my opinion it's definitely To Kill a Mockingbird. Something can be said for ET and 400 Blows, but Mockingbird takes the cake. One of the two best stories of the 20th century.

I gotta go with A Christmas Story. The narration in that movie is great and so is Billingsley's perfromance.
