I was tidying up my comics (arranging them into something resembling order) today and I came across the Manga versions of the Star Wars movies (far better than the piss poor US adaptations btw). That got me thinking. What movies would translate well into the Anime style? Personally I think it would be really cool to see an Anime set in the Aliens universe. Not necessarily a wholesale translation of one of the movies but rather a whole new story featuring a cast of new characters facing off against those Alien critters. What other movies do y'all think would translate well into Anime?

Starship Troopers. In the book, the soldiers use some huge battle armors to fight the bugs.
By the way, there is a Highlander anime (http://www.legendaryheroes.com/c.309960/site/Highlander/highlander.html) on the way.

Some I'd love to see:
-"Versus"
-"Underworld" (this would r0x0rz).
-"Battle Royale"

Underworld would be awesome, there isn't many animes with werewolves.
Not anime, but there is a Battle Royale manga.

The Crow could be a good anime, at least it couldn't be any worse than it's sequels or the tv series.

http://manga-news.com/IMG/jpg/battle_royale_06.jpg As a central focus, no anime with werewolves (Wolf's Rain doesn't count, those aren't werewolves) except a Hentai called "Moon Girl" or something like that, and we don't like no hentai.
And I know about the BR manga, read the first volume. Liked it because it was right out of the book, but I don't like manga in general (eventhough I've only done some FMA and some Hellsing).

(Yes, that's Scully)
Strange one I know, The Devil's Rejects. One of the most violent, disturbing, visually gritty movies I've ever seen made in the most beautiful art medium in the world- complete with the quintessential American rock soundtrack, with the likes of Skynrd and others. Pure badassness.

Batman, all the way. Especially the No-Mans Land and Knightfall arcs. OMFG would that be heaven. Azbats would look wicked in anime.
