Wicked City

Has anybody seen this anime?? a local DVD store is selling it for nine bucks, it's a bare bones edition, but the synopsis on the back cover makes it seem fairly good. The running time is only about 80 mins though, so is there an on-going series or was this it?? Is there closure?? I assume it was based on a Manga. Any information would be appreciated.

as far as i know its based on a manga and is just a stand alone film (i think theres also a live action version of it)

i have it but have yet to watch itso i dont know whether its any good, ive heard some great things about it though

I saw this way back at the dawn of the small UK anime boom that occurred around the release of Akira on VHS. Haven't seen it since so I can't confirm whether it's as good as I recall. But I did like it at the time. It's classier (again...if memory serves) than the Urotsukidoji movies but not in the same class (or even close to being in the same class) as the real quality anime flicks like Akira, Ghost In The Shell and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. I would imagine that any horror loving anime freak would at least get something out of it.

Cool, thanks fellas. Live-action Wicked City sounds interesting... unless it turned out like the live-action Guyver flicks. I'll buy the anime though.

I have this in my collection. Its a pretty old movie. But the action is pretty sweet as its the same guy who directed Ninja Scroll. It borders on being labeled as hentai as there are many sequences of a sexual nature. One of my fav animes:D
