Title: The Ice Scream Murders (2005)

Cast: A few of my friends
So far this is what has happened:
Started shooting it on Sept 29th and havent stopped since!
One night me and my buddies where out on a drinking binge and we came up with this idea of making a horror film for our holloween party wich is on the 29th of oct.
So we started brainstorming and we decided it would be mildly funny and that it would be a slasher. That way we could do something very fun, very bloody and that our friends at the party could enjoy, laugh at and ultimately find a bit shocking.
The day after that as soon as I woke up I tiped up the whole screenplay! I litterally didnt stop until it was done. So this is how the story goes:
The film starts out with a punk band practicing their set of songs. The band is called "The Stoics" (my brothers real life local punk band!) so anyhows, the thing is that they are practicing a couple of songs and they decide to take a break.
A character called Moe makes a suggestion to buy something to drink, you know a couple of beers. Xavier a friend of the band that is there listening in on their practice warns them about a rumor thats been going on about a psycho killer that dresses up as an ice cream man (think of reggie banister from Phantasm only evil) and chops up his victims puts the best parts on a blender and makes ice cream with chunks of human flesh.
So David, the dude whos going to get the beers doesnt buy it and says that its a local legend....so he decide to go anyway inspite of his friends warnings about the talk in town. Theres a gas station a couple practically a few minutes away from the house so he decides to go walking. Big mistake! Thats our first victim! The Ice Scream Killer decides that David will be his next victim and follows him as David is crossing a small bridge that there is close to my house. The killer strangles David and then grabs him and puts him in his ice cream truck.
Then back home the band starts to worry, they wonder whats happened to david and why he hasnt come back yet. Moe decides to watch tv and Joe decides to listen to some heavy metal cds he brought with him.
Unbeknowst to them their house is being watched by local FBI agents who are really a couple of bastards. In a funny scene (that we filmed and it kicked ass!) they decide to beat up a trendy college dude just cause they think he might have some weed on him and they want the weed for themselves. So in the processes of beating the crap out of him the shoot him by mistake kill him and place him in the trunk of their car. They are such evil dudes that they will just throw his body in the swamp (you know ala psycho) anyhows. The point of that scene is to have a funny sequence for our friends to crack up with and to show that they are not really the good guys.
The two officers named Flavio Mendoza and Dr. Gonzo search the students dead body and they do indeed find some weed on him and they decide to smoke it before investigating the neighborhood where they suspect the "Ice Scream Killer" might be in. So, the begin to smoke and theres a lot of smoke in the car and things get crazy cause they get really high (shooting this scene reminded me of Cheech and Chong movies I swear!) and a lot of priceless funny dialogue ocurred!
Anyhows as the agents are getting high in their car, (we did the smoke filled car effect with a smoke machine that we bought at a party shop) the Ice Scream Killer sneaks into the house and finds Joe singing heavy metal songs and doing some old fashioned 80 head banging. The killer sneaks up behind him and when Joe realizes theres a really weird guy dressed in ice cream vendor clothes with a huge knife standing behind him about to stab him he punches the killer on the face, the knife falls to the floor and they start to fight! This sequence was really cool cause Joe is a small guy so jumped on my brothers back (my brother is doing the role of the killer) and started trying to punch him on the gut and well the scene ended great!
So anyhow, the killer manages to grab Joe and hurls him on the couch and Joe falls on the floor and hits his head...Joe is unconscious for a few seconds. The killer takes advantage of this and picks up his knife from the floor and repeatedly stabs Joe on his back! The effect was really cool! We took a pillow, did a close up, filled the pillow with a ziplock bag with fake blood in it that we bought at a party shop! And when we did the close up of the pillow with Joes shirt well, the effect was priceless...my bro went crazy stabbing the pillow!
Anyhows, weve still got more scenes to shoot...the killer has to kill one more band member and fight it off with the two crooked cops.
We have a scene planned for the ending where the killer will get stabbed with the bridge of a bass thats going to get smashed up in a fight sequence.
What do you think? Shaping up to be a cool little flick huh?
