I think it would be great to have a Simpsons movie, but it would be pretty hard to get a story to last at least 90 minutes. They could even attempt to do it in 3D again. I don't want a live-action film which stars a lot of low-class actors. BAD IDEA.
I hope other people would agree that a Simpsons movie would be cool!!

I sincerely hope they do NOT make a Simpson's movie. I love the show too much for that. Just think of how many shows were killed right after they were made into movies - Beavis & Butthead, Southpark, Power Rangers, even the Pokemon craze is starting to wear off.
For the good of Springfield and Simpson fand everywhere, please do not make a Simpsons movie.

In one of the Simpsons Halloween special, there was a five minute episode where Homer travels into the Third Dimension.

Yeah, what do you mean csmoose? Bigger, Longer & Uncut didnīt ruin the show... But I think that the Simpsons should be kept as a TV-show...Homer rules!

I know I've read somewhere that Matt Groening, et al would love nothing more than to do a feature-length movie for The Simpsons, but they can't figure out a good enough story and plot worthy of the 2 hours. Hell, I'm perfectly fine with that, Groening has still got some years in him so I'd rather he took his time.

Well, it doesn't have to be two hours. It could be ,maybe where they go on a trip around the world or something like that.

Matt Groening WILL make a Simpsons movie, but that's after the TV series ends. I use the word "ends" because it's highly unlikely the Simpsons will ever be cancelled.
There's going to be a season 12 for sure - Fox already signed for it. And I bet they're going to make season 13 too but that's when it's going to end /ubb/frown.gif /ubb/frown.gif /ubb/frown.gif /ubb/frown.gif /ubb/frown.gif And then they're gonna make the movie /ubb/smile.gif

When I had viewed the television series of 'South Park' I really did not like it. I found it to be horrible toilet humour. It was idiotic and stupid. Just getting laughs because the kids had dirty mouths. Nothing else. I wasn't looking forward to the movie at all. But I went to see it anyways because I wanted to see what the hoopla was about. And I have to say that the movie was pure brilliance. One of the best, and most harsh, political satire of the 90s. One of the best films of 1999. Most likely one of the best animated films to ever hit a cineplex. It was hugely funny and brutally original.
So when you say that the movie made the show worse I must dissagree. If anything the movie made the show alot better and it made fun of current political hoopla. It's a brilliant show now and I love each and every episode. A great movie too!
As for the simpsons film. I had a discussion about this, you can cast alot of the characters into live action easily. But then it comes down to one man who will never find a live/action equivelant. This man is Homer Simpson the best part of the show. You can not cast him. I found ONE person who even REMOTELY could pull him off. But he would suck horribly in the part because he's not fat enough (note this man was Bill Murray). He wouldn't even have the same dim-wit as homer. I cant find anyone to play him so you can not have a live-action simpsons film.

Hey, Cozmic, in the news section at imdb.com Simpsons creator Matt Groening talks about a film being in the works. You might want to check it out.

John Goodman would make the perfect Cheif Wiggam. As for Homer, I don't know if anyone can actually do justice to him. As for the whole live-action deal though, I sincerely hope they don't do that because I would'nt watch it. Nothing good can come out of a live-action simpsons.

If there is a movie, it will be after the final season.
It will most likely be a cartoon - if there is one.
"Homer 3D" will be featured in an IMAX film. Cyberworld.
