I'm just going back to watch each session again, I have all of them on tape. You guys can rate each session as you like.
Watched Stray Dog Strug last night
Stray Dog Strut -10/10 highly entertaining session, one of the funniest. 3rd member of the crew, Eien, is introduced in this one.

Session 1: Asteroid Blues. 10/10. This was the episode that made me notice that I was in for something special. Asimov kicked major ass and I loved how they handled the "Red Eye". The ending is intense and the intro of both Jet and Spike is awesome.

well I guess I'll start from the start.
Asteroid Blues- The start of the show is a bit light-hearted from the series is but it it has a good enough start. This episode is made with the right amount of action and story. It's an enjoyable start with a good ending, Bebop has some of the best music ever, Cowboy bebop is a show of it's own.
8.0/10 good

Asteroid Blues
10/10
What a beautiful session. Some humor, good action, and a good plot make for a great opening of Cowboy Bebop. The thing I liked most about this session is that it, more than any other, highlighted the brotherly relationship between Spike and Jet. It's almost like the show would have been as good if not better with just Jet and Spike.
Honky Tonk Women
8/10
Ok session. Introduces Faye, lol she even has a bounty on here in this session. Story line isn't as strong as the first couple of episodes and it brings down the excitement level of the session as a whole. Not one of my favorites.

Every winter I watch Bebop. For the simple reason that Jupiter Jazz is beautiful and for the fact that my girl left me at that same period and the end theme of Jupiter Jazz Part 2 called Space Lion drives me melancolick.
Anyways, reviews huh.
Asteroid Blues - 6/10
In my opinion a weak start for THE BEST anime of all time - FUCK AKIRA, GHOST IN THE SHELL comes second - Although we get to trully meet Spike and his style and way of doing business, we also get a clean view of the overall mood of the show, very jazzy and classy, still a weak start.
Stray Dog Strut - 8/10
I love Ein, my dog's name is Ein, homage to the show, but I never found a short legged whatever he is, damn. Good episode, Spike proves himself once again although the animation during the final chase scene is a little outdated it's brilliant, the comedy is really boosting off in this episode compare to Asteroid Blues.
Wonky Tonk Women - 10/10
Finally Faye arrives, with a kick in the nuts, nice intro and an overall nice feel of the world they live in, a huge Casino and this time around we trully feel the characters, Spike is a gambler, whether it's with his life or with women we feel the character, Jet is actually as he is, gets to the point by taking minimal risks (machines metaphor) and Faye is as sneacky as usual, very good character entry episode.
Next episode - whatever it is - tonight !
Can't wait for Ballade of a Fallen Angel and Jupiter Jazz 1 and 2

Anyone else have the 7 CD Yoko Kano box set? The music was truly an amazing companion to the show.

Yoko Kano is one of the best composers for anime IMO.
Other animes that she has composed music for are:
-Ghost in the Shell: SAC
-Vision of Escaflowne
-Macross Plus (My favorite)
-Wolf's Rain
-Earth Girl Arjuna
-Card Captor Sakura
-Record of Loddoss War TV

I am currently awaiting Bebop the movie from netflix.
Considering I've never seen a single episode of the show...am I in for a treat or a headache?

A treat.
Working my way through the series right now. So far the ones that really stick out are: Ballad of fallen angels, Asteroid blues, Jupiter Jazz Parts 1 & 2, and Black Dog Serenade.
Ones that were less than great, too say the least, were the Chess Master one, and the one where Jet goes to visit his lady. Will continue watching...

Ballad of fallen angels
Thats my favorite episode of the entire series. Cowboy Bebop is the greatest series ever.

The two part ending, "The Real Folk Blues", was among the best hour of anime I've ever seen in my life. The ending...was so perfect. Really that's the only way I could see the series ending, and too go a different way would have been to do it injustice.

Yep, Best ENDING EVER! I was stunned and couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Also, Ballad was amazing too! The movie was fun but lacked that spontaneity the show had. I'm so sad the show's over but it was a fun ride while it lasted.
