Unbeleivable final!! Alfred Hitchcock beat Stanley Kubrick 15-14 on a last second shot...after coming back from a 14-12 hole...anyway two great directors in my book, no matter how you slice it...but in the end the Master of Suspense beats Stan the Man by a nose!

Whew (sigh of relief here)! As much as I admire Kubrick, Hitchcock is the man. I was just reading an interview with Spielberg and he talks about how Hitchcock influenced much of his work on MINORITY REPORT.

Well it's no secret that I voted for Kubrick, but I am glad that it came down to these two, in my books the two greatest English-language filmmakers, and I'm happy that since Kubrick, my favorite director, didn't win, at least a wonderful director like Hitchcock did.
