Whats up Potheads?!

Whats better than the impending release of HP4?

The answer is Harry Potter on an 80 foot screen with 12000 watts of power!

I didn't know if you guys were aware, but HP4 is going to be released on IMAX screens nationwide. Ive seen Beauty and the Beast (http://www.joblo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23846&highlight=IMAX) and Polar Express 3D (http://www.joblo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86363&highlight=polar+express) on the IMAX and those were awesome film experiences for me. You could read about my incredibly favorable experiences with those films by clicking on the hyperlinks in this paragraph. (And no...I'm not an easy critic by any means!)

If you guys have an IMAX theater nearby, please do yourselves a favor and check it out.

I also would like you guys to keep an eye out for Polar Express 3D. Its being re-released on IMAX 3D this Christmas break. It was genuinely spectacular. If you have kids, they will certainly consider it a treat. Seeing the movie in 3D gave me high hopes of what to expect from films in the future. (On another unrelated note, Chicken Little is also available in 3D on limited engagements).

Too bad it's about an hour drive to the nearest IMAX, otherwise I'd probably watch it once in the theatre's and once at the IMAX.

I understand. Its worth it for me because of the fact that even though it is an hour away, it is exactly half way in between myself and my brother. So it works out for me.

I definitely will post about whether it was worth it (even if no one is likely to read it...lol). My reservation regarding it is that the screen may be too big for the movie. When you are watching something like the Yule Ball on a screen with 6000 square feet of viewing space, I'm worried that the useless stuff in the background can often distract. Especially given that IMAX goes out of their way to make everything in the print high res.

It was totally worth it. If you have the opportunity, do yourself a favor and check it out. If youw ant to read more about my experience, you could look it up in the HP review thread in this forum.
