I didn't see a post for this flick yet... So I'll make one:

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

So I went and saw this one at the mall tonite... The 1 TV ad I saw for it, made it look alright, so I figured why not? First let me say that throughout this whole movie I was thinking "Made for TV flick right here, or straight to video at least" but alas, because of Jennifer Aniston and Clive Owen, I spent $6.50 that could've been better spent elsewhere...

So Clive Owen plays an American businessman (can't remember exact profession, his accent was so horrible, he sounded English despite his efforts) who's married with a kid who has severe Diabetes... So he meets another married woman (Aniston) on a train to work one day... They fall for each other, and eventually end up about ready to get it on and have an affair... They don't get to do the deed, as they get mugged by some guy who busts in their unlocked hotel room, Aniston gets raped and Owen gets beat to a bloody pulp....

They don't bother to call the cops, because they're afraid of the affair secret getting out... Turns out said mugger/rapist isn't done and learns that Owen has a TON of money saved to help out his diabetic child, and keeps demanding more and more money...

Without goin into anymore detail, I can say this plot has been done to death a million times before... It was pretty fuckin predictable, and in the commercials it says "A Jennifer Aniston you've never seen" which I don't get it... She was just there, she's by NO means a great (or even moderately good, IMO) actress, as Owen pretty much held this heap together.... I'll say the only surprise I got outta the whole thing was:

*DEFINATE SPOILER*

When Owen and RZA (Winston) were in the car together, and Frenchie shoots poor Winston in the fuckin head! I almost laughed at that shit, I thought it was great cuz I quite honestly didn't see that one coming!

*END SPOIILER*

Other than that, wait for this shit to hit DVD or end up on TV, which is where it should've been released first.....

The trailer made it look like Clive was a badass, and he basically just went around mopping up loose ends in violent ways via "payback" style. So...he just gets shot in the head? if he does, thats f'ing great. LOL.

SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, I saw it last night, and it was pretty good. Clive Owen was pretty much a dumbass throughout the whole movie. I would have just gone to the cops. It was also pretty obvious even from the start that Aniston is in on the whole thing. I agree though, when winston got shot it scared the shit out of me. Very unexpected. It was great. The end was pretty good as well since Clive Owen's character gets away with everything. I thought it was going to have a certain unfaithful like ending. Overall, better than I expected.

SPOILERS!!

I didn't expect this to be great, but I hoped it would be decent brainless entertainment. I really like Clive Owen and Vincent Cassel and figured they would at least make it worth watching. Big mistake. What a fucking piece of shit and waste of time & money. Insulting the audience's intelligence too many times to count, this is a colossal mess from start to finish. Aniston (thankfully her roll is small) is awful and completely miscast. She's not believable for a single second. Owen's role is underwritten and he's miscast as well. He appears to be floundering and a little confused, like he's not sure what the hell he signed on for. Cassel does nothing with a standard villain, trying to snarl and sneer his way through the role. I never found him imposing or frightening. That sums up the movie. It always seemed off. I should have been disturbed by a woman getting raped, but I wasn't. It doesn't help that you can see the "twist" a mile away. There's one unbelievable moment after another. Owen's wife is the dumbest female alive and every woman should be insulted by her stupidity. She fails to notice a missing $120,000 for a very long period of time and is clueless way beyond reason. I hated nearly every second of this garbage. One unexpected death can't make up for 105 minutes of pure shit.

Clive Owen and Vincent Cassell own this movie. They are both great with Cassell being really menacing. Jennifer Aniston is actually a tad underused and had less screen time than I would have expected. But she gives a solid performance. Melissa George is wasted in a completely thankless part. The twist in the movie is fairly predictable, I definately saw it coming. Still, even after the twist the movie had some surprises in store including a pretty shocking and gripping scene late in the movie in a hotel room. Overall, it's a pretty decent thriller even though there were a couple of times where I thought the Clive Owen character made some stupid moves.

hmmmmm, well I was confused and thought Clives character got shot in the head, which I stated in my post that "ruined" it for you, but I was wrong and RZA's character gets shot in the head. So, if anything it was more like a red herring. Dumbass. Learn to play nice, or just go play with yourself.

*spoilers*

well im a little torn in this, at moments i was really into it, and at moments i was kind of pissed...first off Cassell as the baddie was a huge miscast, not threatning one bit, Melissa George was a friggin waste, and well casting Anniston as someone threatning and cunning is UNBELIEVABLE.

that said...the twist shocked me and had me convinced until the moment we find out he was set up the whole time, the RZA getting capped was a surprise, and Clive Owen rules.
