In 1987 there was a sequel made of the movie Grizzly (1976), that never was finished called Grizzly 2 The Predator starring Charlie Sheen ( and I think George Clooney).
Why this movie never got complete, I donīt know, but I have wanted too see it since then.
Me and my brother wrote our own script called Grizzly II Claws and based it a little on the Grizzly 2 script, that we had never read.
Our script deals with 3 brothers, whoīs loss of their parents (a year earlier) decides to go on a camping trip, hanggliding and paragliding to come eachother closer after their parents death.
They visits the forrest where the earlier attack from Grizzly took place.
While there, theyīre attacked by a giant grizzly and 2 of the brothers dies, while the third gets wounded.
Heīs saved by a mountain man that brings him to the hospital.
After his recovery, he looks-up the mountainman and they begin their hunt for the grizzly, while more bloodshed occurs...
We have made testphotage and fx shots and thinks weīre able to do this with some trickshooting...

front of script
Y'know Marz, I really loved Grizzly. Although that's a bad title..... Claws was the name given to a 1977 killer bear flcik... oh well. SOunds cool, evne though one day I plan to take th rights to the original. BUt a good idea nonetheless. Like the cover mixing the US and Euro artworks.
I know the Op hasn't posted here in about a year (hey, I rhymed!!!), but honestly, if you're still out there, FINISH THIS!!!
Or better yet, dial up Richard York from Media Blasters and strike up a deal to film bear attack footage for the GRIZZLY II workprint so that film can finally be released!!! That, honestly, would kick many more asses than currently exist.

Totally forgot about this thread but here is something of it that we made from the workprint of Grizzly 2 instead :)
a grindhouse poster...

and here is the homemade trailer...

the cut features bear footage (taken from other movies), new music (taken from other movies) and a new edit with main and end credits. There is more of a story that keeps together now than the original workprint too i.m.o
The movieprint, you have too look for...it is out there (a well known site ;)
I've had the workprint on DVD-R for sometime now (I got it about a month after it leaked... I didn'teven know it leaked until Cinema Snob did his review, I about shat, hahaha!)
I loved it though, I didn't knwo you were the one who recut it... could you put it on YouTube perhaps? I don't like torrents....
Either way, loved the movie, SO glad to have FINALLY seen it after years of thinking that I never would. It didnot disappoint!

sorry but youtube doesnīt work for me at all. I can view some clips but not all and I canīt put up clips myself. I have contacted that site but they think it has something to do with my internet operator??
it exist thou in a place that rhymes with that Michael Bay disasterflick to download :)
By the way, are you a big Kiss fan? (noticed your avatar) Were you on the Kis Kruise this October??
Ah, crappy to hear. I do see people selling it on DVD-R though, so I might pick up one of those some day. I never use torrents, always scared that my computer will explode, haha.
And yeah, love KISS, my favorite band actually. (Though I listen to an absolute shitload of bands... most of them metal... love death metal) No, wasn't on the cruise, didn't have that kind of money or the means to get there. Besides that, I'm not 21, and they have some stupid crap about people under 21 getting on these things.
Was awesome to see that they played "Room Service" and "Two Timer" though... damn!
BTW, was that you who made that fan poster? Thought it looked pretty cool (not the one posted here, the one to go along with the recut)

Actually it was my brother who made that poster and made most of the edit to the movie too. Do you recognise the score we used in the movie?
Alot of the music is from Jay Chattaways Silver bullet and Robert Folk & Ernest Troosts Tremors score and the maintitle is lifted from Rambo 3 and the ending is Randy Edelmans Daylight.
We took bearfootage from different movies like the original Grizzly, Day of the Animals, Claws etc .
We are pretty satisfied with the result of what we had to work with and I do like the beginning which is in the veins of Fright Night 2 (we even tinted it red)
were we show flashes and the ending from the first Grizzly to then be thrown right into Grizzly 2.
look the fancut up and let me hear what you think of it.
I think itīs cool that our cut is living itīs own life out in the world and donīt mind it beeing shared around (it isnīt our movie to begin with anyway)
I know one of the producers forced the workprint down on some sites and even asked cinemasnob to remove his review in a letter that he posted on his site because of ownership so...
