The first few are easy, the rest is more of a list of those I dislike the least (or those that actually come to mind, but don't necessarily stand out).
Number One: DAVID FINCHER (Se7en is an all-time favorite, not to mention that recent picture about fighting...)
Number Two: MARTIN SCORSESE (Goodfellas, Taxi Driver, Color of Money, Casino...)
Number Three: FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA (I'm a massive Godfather fan)
Number Four: JAMES CAMERON (The Abyss is amazing.)
Number Five: QUENTIN TARANTINO (Pulp Fiction, period)
Number Six: KEVIN SMITH (Dogma, Chasing Amy...)
Number Seven: STEVEN SPIELBERG
Number Eight: WACHOWSKI BROTHERS
Number Nine: STANLEY KUBRICK
Number Ten: DOUG LIMAN
Actually, after careful consideration - I suppose I do like everyone on this list... Imagine that!?

Spike Jonze ???
He's had one film to date ( albeit a great one) and you put him ahead of an established master like Scorsese ?
I think you need to rethink your list.

Actually it's Wild Bill Hitcock.
I'm using this opportunity to correct you to admit my forgetful ommission of the great Hitch in my list. I have brought shame to myself and my family.
Hitchcock dominates all. I don't see how you can put hacks like speilberg and the wachoski brothers anywhere near this guy.

Uh, I think the term "hack" being applied to Spielberg AND the Wachowskis is a huge exaggeration and not in the least bit fair.
