I haven't seen many that I've really enjoyed, but my favorite is Field of Dreams.

Ok, Scott. You're still a Junior Schmoe, so I'll be nice. I won't chastise you because you've obviously haven't seen Field of Dreams. Or Bull Durham. Or A League of Their Own. And I hope you've seen Frequency but don't consider it a "baseball movie." These are the only reasons I can see that Major League 2 made your list.
And although it's by no means a "good" movie, I cannot let this opportunity pass to cite The Fan as a worthwhile baseball flick. Sure, many details are inaccurate, Tony Scott's direction is ridiculously chaotic, and the less said about the ending, the better.
But there's alot of truth buried in The Fan's noise, and I can sympathize with the reasoning of Robert De Niro's antiheroic Gil Renard, misguided and twisted it may be. Also, Wesley Snipes has Barry Bonds' ego and persona DOWN. Throw in and early appearance by Benecio Del Toro, terrific use of Stones and Nine Inch Nails music, and fabulously entertaining chainsaw editing, and we've got ourselves one fine time. (And did I mention the inexplicable scene containing a Hasid, a chihuahua, NIN's "Closer," and an unusual method of killing a roach? It really doesn't get much better than that.)
Anyway, I'd like to mentioned some non-baseball movies that have a cool baseball moment: Dazed and Confused (before Mitch's hazing), Maximum Overdrive (surely we all remember the steamroller), Summer of Sam (Reggie Jackson is the .44 Caliber Killer?) and, of course, The Naked Gun ("Hey, it's Enrico Pallazzo!").
So, Scott, get your ass to the video store and rent that modern cinematic trio of baseball eminence. You'll be glad you did. http://www.theunholytrinity.org/cracks_smileys/cwm/3dlil/lurk.gif

Fever, I dont mean to sound rude, but
1. What does his "Junior Schmoe" status have to do with the movies he picked?
2. Maybe he has seen those films, but he lies these ones better. Sure, A League of Their Own was a good film, but I would rather watch ML2 anyday. It may be inferior in quality but quality doest always translate to entertainment.
Anyway, im not attackig, those things just bugged me. Oh, and nice call on Sandlot. That is one of my favorite movies.

His "Junior" status doesn't affect his taste in movies - just the way in which I "respectfully disagree" with him.

Oh man i totally forgot those. ive seen all of them they definatly take the place of majr league 2 , rookie of the year and bad news bears. Robert DeNiro stole the show as the aggravated father/ fan. Bull Durham was a great depiction of the minors, and Field Of Dreams was also another classic these three totally slipped my mind. thanks for reminding me of such greats Fever
